Does anyone know how to resize layouts or even templates from size 12x12 to 8 1/2 x 11? Thanks for your help!

im not sure what program you use... but i have done something similar with psp.

Instead of just resize. I did resize canvas. then i moved/streched/unstreched papers elements and photos to fit. I know that might be the hard way, but with 8x11's there is a way different use of space than on a 12x12. Does that make sense?

I hope that helped a little!

Hi Cindy!

The problem with resizing a 12x12 to an 8.5x11 is in the proportions of the page sizes. A 12x12 page is a 1:1 proportion, and an 8.5x11 is a 1:1.29 proportion. So, there's no way to easily convert a 12x12 to an 8.5x11, because the proportions are different.

What you can do, however, is convert your 12x12 page to an 8.5x8.5 page. This will work because 8.5x8.5 is a 1:1 proportion, the same as 12x12. Once you have your page in the 8.5x8.5 size, you can place it on an 8.5x11 background piece of coordinating paper, and use the layout that way. It will be like your square page has borders on the top and bottom to make it into a rectangle page.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need clearer instructions. :)
