Are you ready??? It's time for our second annual Cookie Recipe Card Exchange and you're invited!

Here's how to join in on the fun:

• Design a 4x6" recipe card (at 300dpi), any way you wish, using mostly Scrap Girls products -- include on the card one of your most favorite holiday cookies or candies -- something "tried and true" preferred!
  
• Place your real name and/or Scrap Girls message board user name somewhere on the recipe card (small text is fine).
  
• All skill levels are encourage to participate! Even if this is your very first time digital scrapbooking or if you are a pro, please join in the fun!
  
• Save your design as a jpg file, with a file name that includes your SG user name (for example my file might be called brandiev_chocolatechipcookie.jpg) -- just some way so we know who made what!
  
• Attach your card to an email and send to me at SGCookieExchange2007@gmail.com
  
• In the body of your email, include your your Scrap Girls user name and real name (real name is optional).
  
• A confirmation will be emailed to each person who sends a recipe card so that they know their card was recieved.
  
• Cards MUST be recieved by midnight EST on December 12.

After all the cards have been received, I will compile them all into one or more files (depending on how many received) -- last year I believe we had 50+ cards!!! Imagine that -- send in one card, get back lots! On December 14 (before the crop) each participant will recieve the links (via email) to download the recipe card files.

Then, on December 14 at 9pm EST, join us in the chatroom for a "cookie exchange" chat. Just a fun way to conclude the event. You do not have to participate in the chat to participate in the recipe card exchange.

NOTE: Unfortunately, if you don't send in a recipe card, you will not be able to get a copy of all the cards. Your recipe card is your ticket to all the fun!

After you download the recipe cards, you will be able to print them out for your own recipe box or book! Feel free to post your card in the gallery anytime after December 14 -- but please don't post it before that time because that would spoil the holiday fun!

Woo Hoo! I know everyone is looking forward to this Brandie! They have been asking about Cookies in the recipe chats. Can't wait to see the great recipes! Last year I was able to make cute recipe books for all of my Aunts using the fabulous cookie recipes you all shared.

Brandie, can we submit other dessert recipes too? I only have a couple cookie recipes but I haven't tried them yet. Plus, do the recipes have to be totally original?

Yay Brandie, I had such fun with this last year! In fact, I just made some cookies from one of the recipes yesterday. (Brandy H, it was your pumpkin chocolate chip ones, yummy!!)

It's flexible...I would suppose cookies and candies would be the main focus, but if someone would rather share a favorite holiday dessert, that would be perfectly okay. And no...they don't have to be original.

Brandie, this sounds like so much fun. I wasn't on Scrap Girls last year so I am really excited to participate. I have lots of tried and true recipes. It will be hard to choose which to do. I'll bet you get more than 50 participants this year.

Sounds like fun! I think it's going to be hard to wait to see all of them unlike the other recipe card swap where you can post when you're finished. I"m going to have to find a real good cookie recipe...possibly one with chocolate . We can do more than one recipe?

You sure can! Feel free to send in more than one card if you wish. You will still only get one of everyone elses back, but due to the "digital" nature of our swap, you can always make extra files, copies, etc.

No, you don't have to have a picture of your cookies, etc. You can if you would like to, but you certainly don't have to.

My amazing mother in law wrote and self-published cookbooks. I have some great cookie recipes! I'll do my most-requested recipes. I can make any of her recipes and know they'll aways turn out fantastic. This should be fun.
