Angela! My DH wants to know if your shortbread cookies are melt in your mouth soft cookies or dry crispy ones! He is so fussy. I love them both ways.

WOW!!! What gorgeous lo's ladies!!!! You are an incredible group...I can't wait to make everything!!!!

I'm not feeling too well...been a crazy day...and to top it off, my poor dh came home from work sick and is in bed, which is not like him at all! <f> But, I want to tell you about the Thin Mint Cookie recipe...when you make them, really taste after each drop of the peppermint candy oil (use an eyedropper to measure each drop...the oil is strong!!!). After all the cookies are set (they will be glossy & shiny), melt some additional summer coating and get some of Wilton's sugar Cake Decorations that come on a piece of cardboard. Paint the back of one decoration and immediately gently press into a cookie. Repeat with next decoration & cookie till all are done. These cookies taste like Girl Scout Thin Mints and when you decorate them like I suggested, they look absolutely gorgeous on cookie platters. My favorite is the psychedelic flowers...the big ones on the cardboard!!! I make these for all the family parties!!!

Brandie, you are just a doll for going to all of this trouble for all of us! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

And for all you ladies who have so much talent, both in the kitchen and in the digi-world, Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I was as excited about getting 70+ mini-layouts from you ladies as I was about the recipes!

Sorry I missed the chat... off in another world at the time. I can't wait to go back through this thread with my cards in hand... put A and B together!

For those who participated in this:

I have the files uploaded to my Sam's Club photo account. If you would like to print them at YOUR local Sam's Club, PM me and I can 'share' my upload folder with you. You can then order your own prints from your own Sam's and skip having to upload them yourself or bring in a CD and wait an hour.

HTH!!

Christy

Please include the name of the recipe that you submitted when you PM me!! thanks!

Thanks so much Christy!!! I've ordered my set and I also uploaded Vaughnde's oatmeal cookies to the album (well, to
the site, I don't know if it made it to the album!!! Maybe it's still there?)

These recipe cards are so adorable!!

I am SOOOO excited to get baking now! Thank you everyone!

As a little bonus, maybe you can write this on the back on my card (it's the last one) for fudge.

If you would like to try white chocolate, pistachio and cranberry version, I believe you could do this:

Substitute the chocolate and butterscotch chips with white chocolate chips.
Substitute 1 to 1 1/2 cups of shelled natural pistachio nuts for pecans.
Add 1/2 cup dried sweetened cranberries.

I made this last year (and I think the proportions are about right, but I'll make more just to be sure) and it was a HUGE hit. I was surprised at how much I liked it. :)

I've just downloaded the files.....and I just had to look at them. There are some yummy lookin recipes there. I was expecting to see a lot of doubles...but there are so many different recipes...and they're not all cookies....there were some cake recipes in there that sounded enticing. Great job ladies...they are beautiful. I didn't think about having these printed like a photo (read that some were uploading to walgreens, sams, etc.). I was thinking about printing them at home...but it would be easier to do it as mentioned in the thread....glad I read about that. I would have been printing then cutting, printing then cutting...what would I do without y'all????? Well happy baking everyone!!!

My recipe was too long for much decoration - or substitutions list.

I ALWAYS substitute dried sweetened cranberries for the dried cherries.
IF you don't want to put in the white chocolate, double up your dried fruit.

So can we get Sam's Club pictures delivered to a Walmart? I'm an hour from Sam's so let my membership go from lack of use.

I got my downloaded and then uploaded them to Walgreens. My prints were done in a little over an hour. I'll be picking them up before the chat this evening. My prints were 15 cents a piece but if I'd wanted them mailed, they would have been only 12 cents each with free shipping! I'm too impatient. I'm going to pick up an album to put them into tonight also.

The layouts are all wonderful and the recipes look awesome too!

Pat, thanks so much for this suggestion ... should have been a given now that I think about it, but I was planning to print them all right here from home. I have used Walgreens too, and mine are ready to be picked up as we speak ... Thanks so much for that awesome idea!!!!

BTW ... Thanks everyone for your hardwork and these beautiful cards. I am planning on trying out several for Christmas festivities next week. HUGE THANK YOU TO BRANDIE! You are awesome girl!!!!

I made the Shortbread cookies, passed the DH test, they are sooooo yummy!!

I also made the Santa Grahams for the boy's daycare Christmas party. They were a hit! Very labor intensive though. Next time I will let the kids make there own! I think we are going to use the leftover icing to make more for Santa, and for the my niece and nephews to make on Christmas day. I couldn't find any gumdrops so I used Yo-Go's for the noses.

I made the build it better oatmeal cookies too. I used dried cranberries and pecans. Those are really good too!

Everything is hidden in the freezer from little fingers (and DH!)

I made my own Eskimo cookies too, Tyler helped roll them in the icing sugar. Lots of fun!

Thanks for sharing your recipes! I can't wait to get to the rest of the recipes!

What kinds of things do you not have that you would like .... would love to try and send it your way. Of course, I am totally ignorant about shipping ... but would love to try to accommodate you. I bet we could help you out. Tell us what you are needing.
