Help
Hi Ladies! I came up with an idea today and have to have it done by tomorrow! LoL I am wanting to transfer a picture from a copy done with a copy machine. I can't find my instructions, but that's ok ...
they always ask for a medium gel. Would that include modge podge??

Modge podge is basically glue for decopage.

you can use the packing tape transfer technique for that, if you have packing tape, (clear mailing tape.) Basically you just stick the picture to the tape, burnish it real good, then put it in water for a short while. Once the paper is softened, you rub it off, and the picture is left on the tape.
If you want to use a technique that calls for gel medium, then that's what you need to use. Modge Podge isn't the same thing.

Jan - That's the one I've been looking for!! THANK YOU!! As for gel medium, I have the technique, just not the right gel medium. When I get back I'll see if the base scrapshop has any.

I saw the packing tape over at ck a while back. Not sure if I should have posted that, but wanted to try and help.
To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...
I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

I know a technique. You need a photocopy of the image in black and white (not laser). Then you put it over the surface with the image down and rub it with thinner (not turpentine) or acetone. I used this technique to transfer a drawing on a shirt and then I painted it. I also used it on a cardbox.
