I know this is a little off the scrapping topic, but I'm having problems with my iPhoto and iMovie programs. I don't use either one very often so I have no idea when they decided to act up. The iPhoto works fine for storing and organizing photos, but won't run a slide show. The whole thing just stops. I know it once worked wonderfully well, with all those jazzy Ken Burns effects and sound, but now nothing. I hope some one out there can make a suggestion for fixing this....the slide show is due next week!!! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

AAAH, ZAZ, you might save my skin! I have iPhoto 5.0, running on a Power Mac OSX 10.3.9. I know, I know, it's an antique system, but you know the saying about old dogs and new tricks! I have put the slide show onto a CD as a PDF file, but I can't see any way to add the music. I think I can do it with Power Point, but that is also beyond my current learning curve. Any help would certainly be appreciated!

Hey Ann,

Bryan asked if you had tried attaching the music BEFORE you saved it to a CD. You can't add it afterward. He wrote out instructions for me on how to restart iPhoto if you're having trouble with your program, but he wanted me to ask about the music first. :)

I probably didn't explain this clearly enough. What happens is that I take a few pictures to a new slide show, then click either preview or play, and the whole thing shuts down. I've made slide shows with all the motion and transitions and music before so I'm pretty comfortable with the process, but I don't know what's causing these crashes. All the other functions seem to be ok. I have the same problem with iMovie. It's a pretty good alternative for slide shows with music, but I can't even get it to stay open long enough to add a photo. And I should probably tell you that I have tried to reinstall the program from the original DVD, but it made no difference. There's a pretty good chance that I didn't do the re-install correctly, so if you can help me with that, it might work. AAARGH!!
