How great is our God. He is so faithful and has heard all our prayers. All praise be to Him! Carol Ann my dear friend this news gives me goose bumps (I you know what that means) and tears of joy. I believe lighting those little candles has made a difference in this situation and may we all keep our candles of hope lit until this little girls is home. Our family sends its love and prayers to you and your family.

Wow, I'm so excited for you Carol Ann. Prayers do WORK! It sounds like you are starting to GET SOMEWHERE! She might not make Christmas, but it sounds like soon there after. How exciting! I woke up this morning from a dream that I couldn't shake. I was in a small room with windows on one wall. I was putting the shades down when I looked into the hallway and there was Janae, all smiles. It's funny. I was really sad when I woke up. Bryan asked me to email the guy in Haiti and I dreaded doing it. I was almost hoping he had left for vacation again. No one really wants bad news during Christmas time. I thought it could wait. But I wrote. Then I cried. I told Bryan about my dream. It hurts to see her and not be able to reach out and touch her.

Then the rest of the day happened (see above) . Tonight they sent out update photos for December. This time I smiled when I saw my little girl. What a difference a few hours can make. It's probably less than 12 hours until that passport gets into the hands of the Immigration people. I'll be waiting on (stick) pins and needles (see my other thread).

Hey, I might still send out Christmas letters after all! They'll just be a tad bit late.

Just think, you don't have to look at the most recent picture of you beautiful little dear and think how much she might have changed when you get to hold her in your arms! I"m fighting back tears as I read through this entire thread. I saw it yesterday and didn't have time to respond. I can't let the tears loose because my freshman English students will think I've lost it! (I'm subbing for a teacher whose wife had a baby Wednesday....) Praying all goes well today and next week!!

Hey SGAs,
Just wanted you to know that I just got through to Haiti and they did receive Janae's passport today and they are working on her file. They told me to call back Wednesday (they offices are closed on Monday and Tuesday). I actually think that is great since I thought they would say "Call Friday" which is what the Haitians have always told me.
