Well, surgery went well on the 24th. There was a little glitch, and somehow the hospital had me scheduled for 10:45 instead of 9:30, so I didn't actually go into surgery until 11:00. After testing my band, the doctor determined the leak was in fact in the port, so all he had to do was the port revision. I was in very little pain when I left the hospital at 3:30. We went to my sister's house for dinner. My parents stayed with me at my house on Monday night. When I woke up Christmas morning I had a huge bruise (about the size of a softball) and a tremendous amount of pressure. I called the doctor's office (thank goodness the surgeon is Jewish, I didn't disturb his Christmas
Thank you all, again, for your good thoughts and prayers.
Oh, and since they only had to do a port revision, the surgeon gave me a fill (in my Lap-band) while I was in surgery. I can already feel the restriction again, and can only have very small amounts of things at a time. I feel the way I am supposed to feel, and how I felt before all this leaking business started. Now I can focus on eating healthy again. Here's to a happy, healthy 2008 ~ for myself and everyone!

I just wanted to say thank you for all of your prayers and good wishes. They mean so much to me. Over the past week, whenever I started feeling down, I came back and read these posts. Cried several times too! I feel better and am optimistic that my problem will be resolved with a simple revision. But, if it turns out that they have to replace everything, then I will look to the Lord, my family, and my extended (read: SG) family for support.
My surgery time tomorrow has been moved up from 12:45 p.m. to 9:30 a.m., so I should be able to post sometime during the afternoon to update everyone on my condition.
Thanks again, and lots of love to you all!
