I recently upgraded from PSE 4 to PS CS3. I loved to rotate my brushes in PSE but can't figure out how to do it in CS3. Can anyone help? Thanks!!
Lynne

I have CS2, but I think it might be done the same way in CS3...I just select my brush in the tool palette to the left and then at the top of your window, near the right, is a few "tabs", one saying "brushes". In the window that opens, click on "brush tip shape" and you'll see a plus + sign with arrow which you can click on and move to rotate your brush. You can also enter in specific angle or play with the other details under the other headings.

I was going to answer your question but it looks like Brandie is already on it. So I will say ...

I don't think it's the same in CS3. That's what I have and I can't get there the way Brandie explained it.

Here is how I can find it ...
In my palettes on the right side I have a tab (in the middle section) for brushes. It may just be the way I have it set up and not the default ... I'm not sure. If you don't have that you'll need to open the brush palette. You can do this either by clicking on Window>Brushes or just hit F5. This should bring up the palette. Now you'll need to select "Brush Tip Shape" - it's on the left of the palette under "Brush Presets". At this point you should see the little compass that lets you move it around. There are a ton of options to play with within this palette. Now you know where it is just play play play ... and have fun!

Okay ... maybe that was pretty close to the same ... except that the "tabs" she mentioned are on the mid-right for me, not the top. That could just be the way mine is set up though. I tend to move things around and not leave anything the default way. :D

Thank you so much for your fast reply. I didn't know you could click on Brush Tip Shape so never tried it; I thought you could just hit the check boxes below it.

Thanks so much for sharing your expertise!

Oh, good, glad it worked for you. That also confused me the first time when I started using PS...it's doesn't even look like it's one of the options.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
I was just about pulling my hair out trying to find the compass - all the screen shots were showing it and I was going crazy.
I KNEW that I would find the answer here.
