Correction** - yes you CAN have bread on core, you just have to count the points for it. Core members get 35 Weekly Points Allowance, too! Most of my WPAs go for breads

Congrats on you loss:) Thinking of blended foods how about fruit smoothies, the fruits low in sugar of course, in the blender. You can make various kinds and veggie ones also. If you blend tofu in, which has no flavor you'll get protein also. I steam my veggies so soft, esp cauliflower you can almost make mashed potatoes out of them

Thanks for the positive support. I never really understood what it meant to be a lifetime member but I think I get it now. Sorry about you Dad. I agree it does seem to be a very livable program. One question, do forever count points?

I loosely count points now, but when I creep way up I start counting and writing it down daily. It really does help to keep track of what you put in your mouth. Lifetime member just means that you have reached a pre-determined weight that you set when you join. (there are some WW parameters that your goal weight must fall within) Once you reach that and maintain it for 6 months, you don't have to go weekly anymore or pay anymore as long as you maintain that weight. If you go over your goal weight plus 2 pounds, you just pay the weekly meeting fee until you get back to that weight. In 5 years, I have had to pay for only 2 or 3 months. It keeps me honest, because believe me, I can pack it back on in a hurry.

When I went back to work, I joined the "At Work" program and it has been a great experience. Not only do I need to stay on the program to lose weight, I've learned the REAL importance of eating healthy. For me, the Weight Watchers core plan is perfect because I can't eat more than 20 grams of fat a day and need to stick to whole grains, fruits and vegetables.
It's great to get the encouragement at work and this will be another place to get and give encouragement at home! Everyone has been making such good progress!

Last I checked it wasn't 6 months to get to lifetime, I think it is more like 6 weeks.
And it was when I stopeed wounting points that I got lazy and started to gain. Another thing is to set your goal weight a bit higher than where you want to be. I really like being 10 pounds less than my goal weight, but after being there for a while, I realized it wasn't a realistic place to stay. (I had to keep eating 20 points or less to stay there.) Some leaders don't even have you choose a goal weight when you start for that very reason.

I can give you an example of the type of challenges that we did last year. One challenge was to switch up our activity for the week. If we walked all the time we were challenged to earn activity points by doing at least one new thing. Another challenge was to drink all of our water each day for the whole week. Another was to do at least 5 fruits a veggies a day. Do you get the picture? If you guys want I could post a challenge each week and we could check in on the thread throughout the week. The point is just to focus on small changes each week.
What do you say? Anyone interested???
I may post another thread just in case this one gets buried. If you see two you only need to respond to one or the other.
