scrappylibrarian
Okay everyone, it is January and time to get back to work on those recipe collections! This month's recipe swap theme is Slow Cooker Recipes. As the temps stay chilly outside (our down-under friends excepted, of course), our palete craves something nice and warm for dinner. So share with us your favorite crock pot creations. Here is how the exchange works: Design your 4x6 recipe card layout. Feel free to make it two-sided if necessary. You can upload your layout to our Recipe Swap Gallery. If you would like printable copies of each submitted recipe, please email a high resolution copy of your recipe card to me at demarskda@gmail.com. This file should be at 300 dpi and 4 inches by 6 inches. Please submit your cards by Friday, Jan. 18th. You will then receive a yousendit download of all the submitted recipe cards on Saturday, Jan. 19th. We will meet in the Chat and Crop room on Saturday, Jan. 12th at 9pm EST for our Recipe Swap Chat. Join us to share tips and tricks for your slow cooker and just some general fun. Please note that this date has changed from the original calendar posting. Hope to see you there! My card to follow later today...

Priscilla9901
Is Resolution and dpi the same thing? (PSP X) I had trouble the last time I tried to do something like this and want to make sure that I have it right this time.
MaryJo
Okay, I am going to give this a try. I haven't used my brush set for my recipe cards yet ! So, I don't know how good it will turn out, but I'm going to give it a try.

Vaughnde
Is Resolution and dpi the same thing? (PSP X) I had trouble the last time I tried to do something like this and want to make sure that I have it right this time. depends. If you look at your information button under Edit it will tell you the resolution or dpi. When you make a new sheet in PSP for this one...resolution or dpi should be at 300 and then instead of pixels make sure you change the thingy to inches and it will give the proper pixels then. Does that make sense?? PSP 9 and X are not too much different. Vaughnde

Amy D
I don't use my crock pot often - it's older, smaller than what I'd like, and a real pain to clean! I need to get an update! LOL! But I will drag it out for the recipe I'm planning on submitting! Maybe when I show DH all the yummy recipes for the crock pot he'll run out & buy me a brand spankin' new one!? Sherry Lynn
I also, love my crock pot --- I have a pot roast recipe that I always use (very simple) and one night my dh and I were watching Paula Deen (on the food network) and she did my recipe - exactly the way I do it and honest I had never seen it printed anywhere - or seen it on tv - seriously it was a recipe I thought I had made up and when she started I was saying to my dh "yep, that's what I do - yeh, I use that too - and I use that - hey, that's my recipe). alg35536
I'm really new to the board & just found this thread. Lots of great ideas here. I do have a question though, do you print these off on a reg. 4 x 6 photo paper? If you do, what a great idea, I never would have thought of it. Do you have to worry about the ink getting messed up while you are cooking?
