Oh, it's YOU SGAs that are making me cry! It is SOOOOO hard to imagine that there are people that sound as happy as us around the planet who I've never met in person. Btw, what would we do with emoticons??? My mom thinks those are great. 
I am feeling a bazillion feelings today. Happiness (duh), relief, thankfulness, a bit of trepidation and definitely a lotta love. It wasn't that long ago that I wasn't sure that this day would ever come. And now it has. Amazing.
I'm OFTEN asked how we've managed. Easy. God really has walked down this road with us. He opened doors. He closed doors. He asked us to tell our story many times. He brought people along side us so we could know His love up close and personal. He taught us what it means to persevere. He taught us what it means to trust. He taught us that HE is in control...and He really does want what is best for us (even if it's not our idea of a good time). It got pretty dark for us in December. I remember thinking "Maybe we could pay for her schooling and she could come here to go to college some day" when we didn't think we were going to be able to adopt Janae. I asked for peace. I got it. I asked for faith that I just couldn't muster on my own. I got it.
I know not everyone that's been cheering us on are Christians. I am so thankful for ALL of you. Your love and support of someone who sees the world differently than yourselves is a testimony to the respect here. I've seen nothing like it anywhere else. Now maybe we could get out there and broker peace deals elsewhere on the planet.
I just got back from doing a bit of shopping and picking up our anti-malarial meds (horse pills, but hey, they're pink). I ran into an old friend and had clerks remarking about the cute things I got. Of course, they had to hear about who they are for. Lot's of goose bumps in my area today.
Oh, and because we don't have a high concentration of people of color where we live, the black baby doll stuff was 75% off today! Woo hoo!!! Janae is SO set with doll stuff.
I won't be posting our exact leave times (I've been warned about such stuff), but you'll have a clue. Promise. And if there really is anyone who wants to be at the airport, you are more than welcome. I was wishing I knew people in Miami, too, as we'll be there overnight on the way back.
Back to my crazy world for a while!

Oh, had I known that, I would've flown through FLL. Rats. Bryan just informed me that we'll be staying at the hotel in the Miami airport since we don't have a car seat.
Next time I go to Haiti (JUST TO VISIT - really), I'll plan to go through FLL and maybe we can meet up. That airport is so much smaller and easier to deal with. I know the Miami airport fairly well since a couple of friends and I spent the night there once and "slept" on the floor near our gate. Ah, the good ol' days. ~Zaz

Wow, congratulations!!!! I cried tears of joy when I read this thread. I can tell you are on the top of the world and we are all there holding you up!
