I pray that you are led to exactly where you are supposed to be. I know that God has a plan for all this. He is a God of miracles and I have faith that he will walk beside you through this trial. You will come out on the other side of it.

Each time it happened to one of us, we actually came out in a better situation (all though it maybe didn't seem so at that exact moment in time), looking back - we took the Lord's hand and we went the right way.
Trust, Pray, have Faith. He will guide you. My Prayers will be there also as I know it is so hard at this time when others around you may be losing their jobs and that is so hard to deal with, even if you keep yours.

back to you when you forget the words.

I'm saying another prayer for you right now - and will keep you on my prayer list.
Vent away here anytime - it's better than holding it all in and making yourself sick. Please keep us informed.

Meanwhile, the Very Big Company that I work for has some openings in NJ, including some in testing, though for a different type of app than you're used to working with. And I know at least a few divisions of the company allow the kind of flextime you're talking about; one of my coworkers does something similar. Ping me if you have a web site with resume or have more info about what you've done in the company you've bene working for....

I've had lots of people remind me of my saying, "In five years, I'll be alive and this will all be over," recently. Maybe you and I will have to hang onto that together, eh?
Love ya...

Well HR succeeded in it's task. They found some stupid little thing the hiring manager didn't know he was supposed to do and it's reason enough to stop me. The official word is that he didn't have approval before posting the job ad. Personally, I think this is stupid. The man is hiring about 20 people. I have a hard time picturing him hiding this fact from his boss'.
The other people who post for these jobs that aren't outsourced, will have no problems getting the job. It's one of those things where it's not considered majorly important UNLESS someone is specifically looking for a reason to block you.
So my 21 year career with this company will be over on 2/24/08. I'll be working for another company doing the same thing for as long as that lasts.... probably 12 months.
I'm trying very hard to NOT be bitter about this entire thing ... it's not working.
Thanks for your prayers.

((((((hugs and prayers for you))))))
edit: I did some searching and here is a link to the story I mentioned. There seem to be many versions on the web, but this was one I liked best. Just scroll down the page to the heading Jenny's necklace.

One of Ro's muses really stands out for me: it's the story of a man who visits both of his daughters and finds each are praying for the opposite things. The moral of the story was if one got all they prayed for, someone else's prayers would go unanswered. Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we expect them to - but again I firmly believe that if we're not given what we ask for, God provides something else in due time.
Keep having faith and a positive attitude and I believe all things will work out for you, maybe in a way you least expect. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
