I Did It! I quit smoking! 1 Month Now!

Yep, one week ago today was my last cigarette! I just wanted to update all of you! If I had known it was going to be this easy I'd have done it years ago! Maybe it was easy because I was SO ready to quit....who knows. Point is, I QUIT! AND, Tim quit too! His last chew was a week ago tomorrow! yay for us!!!

My body feels great! I don't even crave them...mentally or physically. I just don't even think about it. I'm cured! :dancingelephant:

It's been a month now and I feel like a new person!!! Thank you everyone that has thought about me and prayed and given me support! I love being a nonsmoker!!!

That is so AWESOME!!! Just don't panic if a craving does hit you again. My sister had some cravings a week or so after she thought she was done. You did GREAT though! That is really impressive as quiting smoking is tough! Congrats to your hubby too! You two are a great team:-)

Thanks everyone!!! I'm pretty excited about it! I knew I was cured for sure when I went on a girls night out...drinking usually equals smoking. I didn't even think about it! It was awesome!

We are going to put the money saved away for a vacation. We're taking a mini vacation in a few weeks, but I'd love to go big...like Mexico...I just want a beach, the sun, a swim suit and a cold drink. I want a REAL vacation! Australia is one of my DREAM vacations! You guys have great beaches, a nice warm sun, and I'm sure you have drinks! LOL Maybe after a few years of saving...*sigh* One of these days!

Good job!!! I quit smoking a year ago at the end of November and it is a very liberating thing. I had tried many, many times before and just couldn't stay with it, but now I have and I know I will never go back to it. You will find that you get so much more done than you use to and now you will have time to scrapbook more!!!! It is a life changing experience and you will find
that you will be doing more and more things that are healthy for you. I do understand about the drinking and smoking thing. You just kind of crave a smoke when you drink but you will persevere. Don't be surprised about the occasional urges though. They will happen and you just need to occupy yourself with something else.
