Boy I hope I don't sound like a broken record. But, my MRI is in the morning at 9 EST. and I would appreciate your prayers once again...

I have been taking the advice of my SG friends and I'm trying to be an encouragement to others here at the MB and at home. It helps most of the time. But, then I start thinking about all this and I must admit I get a little nervous !! But, I am trusting God in all this ! But, it is reassuring when you all pray here. The prayers as so effective here at SG's !!!!
I won't know the results until next Friday that's my scheduled appt with the surgeon. Unless there is something big, then they will see me sooner !!
Thanks everyone for the prayers. Jonathan is home safe and sound and he will be here with us on Monday !!!!! It's been great talking to him whenever I like !!

I'm so glad that Jonathan is going to be home on Monday and that you've been able to be in contact with him since he's been in this country. What a blessing and relief that must be for you!

I never get tired of hearing about how you are feeling and what is happening right now. MJ, I'm praying for you and the test scheduled for tomorrow! It's so difficult to not think about it when every move you make reminds you of it! But, fight back...each and every time you have an anxious thought, say a biblical truth that defeats that thought. When I am anxious or fearful about something, I write a bunch of Scriptures on index cards that contain the truths of God's promises, attributes, and love toward me--nothing more powerful than the Word!

God bless you for using this difficult time to minister to the hearts of others! You are a blessing to all of us! Enjoy this time with Jonathan and let us know how it goes tomorrow! Hugs, MJ! Hang in there, honey!

Mary Jo, you are certainly in my prayers. I've had chronic pain for years, although nothing like yours, so I know how easy it is to get discouraged. Having your son's arms around you on Monday will be better than Vicodin!!!

Prayers on their way up! You'll do fine. One piece of advice ... if you have to cough just do it! I had an MRI last week and I was at the tail end of a cold. You know, the part where you have that irritating tickle in your throat that just won't go away! Anyway ... I did really great until the very last scan. I tried so hard to surpress it. I somehow managed to hold it without messing up the scan but I couldn't stop coughing for at least 30 minutes afterward. The tech said that it would have only cost me another 4 - 8 minutes of my time if I had coughed. No big deal! At least I would have been able to clear the silly tickle and get it over with. As it was I almost had an anxiety attack from trying to hold the cough back. My breathing got all funny - it kind of scared me actually. SO ... long story short ... cough if you have to. They'll check the scans to make sure they are all good before they let you out of the machine anyway. Don't stress ... enjoy the stillness (although it most definitely won't be quiet) and you'll be fine.

AND I've been praying for Jonathan's safe return for I don't know how many months now. Hi everyone, Yes I am home finally ! I did okay, except I had terrible muscle spasms half way through , so we had to stop for awhile. They gave me some Valium and finished the test !!! So, now we wait until next Friday when I see the surgeon!! If there is something really wrong they said he would call me sooner !!! Thanks everyone for praying and for being with me ! I could feel the prayers and I just kept praising God throughout the entire test !! The IV injection was the best part, I never felt the needle go in!!!!! Yeah, its over so today is a rest up day and this afternoon I'm going to DD's basketball game !!
