A couple had been debating buying a vehicle for weeks.

He wanted a truck. She wanted a fast little sports-like car so she could
zip through traffic around town.

He would probably have settled on any beat up old truck. Everything she
seemed to like was way out of their price range.

"Look!" She said. "I want something that goes from 0 to 200 in just a few
seconds. Nothing else will do. My birthday is coming up so surprise me!"

He did just that. For her birthday, he bought her a brand new bathroom
scale

Nobody has seen or heard from him since.
Everything happens for a reason.

   Oh my, the "Car or Truck" got my attention today because DH and I are looking for a full size van that can be adapted for the two boys wheelchair and scooter, and this, oh my, if I told dh to surprise me and he was to buy me a scale, whew, I'll have to admit, he might not be seen from or heard from again,. (He'd probably drop it at my feet and take off running at full speed ). Too too funny!

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!
