I have recently started reading James Patterson's "Women's Murder Club" series (after the tv show started - which I love!) It's been a couple of months and I'm already almost done with the 3rd book in the series. I just love them! I like mysteries but nothing that's going to scare my pants off (can't handle Steven King - I like to be able to sleep at night!) So this series is perfect for me!

Any other James Patterson Fans out there????

I LOVE James Patterson, but I haven't started this series yet. I love his Nursery Rhyme title books (ALex Cross is the main character). I've been reading him for years.

I LOVE James Patterson. My father in law buys all his books in hard cover as soon as they come out, so I get them after he is done. The Women's Murder Club series is my favorite of his and I love the TV show, too, but I notice there are some changes and I get so confused!

He's great! I read Kiss the Girls but not the Women's Murder Club series. I like the Alex Cross series too. I used to listen to the books on tape at work, it really made the day fly by. He sure thinks up some terrible scenarios!

Oh, I love the Alex Cross books (and movies). I also love Faye Kellerman if you are looking for another good mystery/crime writer.

I've got a ways before I'm done with this series (so far - I hope ... is he coming out with more?) But I will definitely put Faye Kellerman on my list of Authors to try someday! Thanks!

His non-mystery books are great too but tear jerkers. The one I remember the most is Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas. Really good but have a thing of tissues ready!

Yep! He's my all-time favorite author. I buy the hard covers because I can't wait! Read them all so far. Another author you might like is Michael Connolly - he is an outstanding writer along the lines of James' Alex Cross series. Jonathan Kellerman and Faye Kellerman can be good too. Jenn is right - Patterson has some real tear jerkers out there - I read them and cry my eyes out - but hey - don't we always feel better after a good cry? ;)

Welcome to "The Club!" (sorry, couldn't resist)...

I LOVE Patterson! My favorite books are the Women's Murder Club (love the show, too) and his more romantic books are fabulous. Yes, they are tear jerkers, but I absolutely love them. I think I've read just about all his books. I'm a huge fan. The good thing about him is that the chapters are short, and he has new books out all the time! I just read two of his newest ones, and boy were they good!

I love his books too, especially the Alex Cross and Women's Murder Club. I liked the Alex Cross movies, but I think that Morgan Freeman was too old to play Alex Cross - should have been Denzel Washington.

I have read every Jimmy P book out there! He is amazing! I picked up the first one 6 years ago...Roses Are Red. Ever since I saw Morgan Freeman play the ALex Cross character I picture him in hte stories...haha. What TV show?! I've been out of the US too long apparently.

Sounds like I'd better find these books! I love mysteries but hesitate to allow myself a fiction read. I somehow manage to ignore every other living being in the house until it is finished. Traces back to my teenage bookworm years when I was free to spend all free minutes reading. (When students in our high school complain about 'sustained silent reading' time in school I'm amazed! What I would have done for time to read for myself DURING the school day! We won't talk about the times I got caught with a novel tucked into a textbook....)

I'm with you there Kim! But then I never let that faze me in or out of school. The kids learned to fend on their own and as a matter of fact are both bookworms when they have time to read too :)

Like the TV show but never read his books. I will have to check them out of the library...that is if they are in!
