OK so I admit I have a serious addiction to the MB and Chat Rooms......For example the Desktop Crop tonight! So I was being a good mother and making dinner from scratch of course....Taco's, yum right? Well, I have to go all out and fry the taco shells myself....they just taste better ok! Well second to last one and what do I do? You guessed it! Burnt 3 of my fingers in the oil! OUCH!!!! So, that is bad enough, but what is worse....I can't type with that hand now!! Ahhhhh! How am I supposed to keep up with the chat tonight??

Oh,well.....I'll still be there! Just might be a little slow! So a few prayers wouldn't hurt....

Oh, Launa! My mother had a bad oil burn a long time ago and she was in pain. I hope you recover quickly and don't suffer too much! You should hire someone to type for you!

I'd be your personal secretary if you lived a tad bit closer, Launa. I don't know about oil burns, but I do know that aloe vera has healed up all the other kinds of burns I've experienced in the last few years - the pure stuff, not the lotions with just a bit in it.

I hope you heal quickly so you can chat as long as you want again soon!

Ouch! Make sure you take care of them! Burns hurt so much! They make a great lotion for healing burns (Silvadine- prescription- or at least it was!) so if you don't see improvement or get blisters you might want to call your doctor! (I had a 3rd degree burn on my arm from catching on fire- long story!) and the lotion was awesome antibiotic.

thanks girls, after hours of ice i'm finally typing with both hands! I think I made it to the sink and cold water fast enough, there are no blisters! Thanks for the prayers. Can't keep me down for long! I'm just not looking forward to the hot shower and washing my hair! Can you do that one handed?? Ouch!

Go dirty! You'll be surprised how fast you can get with typing one handed! I'm so sorry for your burn and I hope it heals up quick! Time to invest in some aloe vera plants.

Ouch! I can feel you pain - honestly - I burn myself all the time in the kitchen. Or cut myself. I even keep the bandaids and first aid stuff in the kitchen! And it's not that I'm not used to being in the kitchen. I'm really a pretty good cook and have cooked for years. I'm just a klutz!

Glad you got enough ice on it soon enough to prevent blisters and that you're now able to type. We sure would hate to have you absent from the board or chats!
