Hey all, if you happen to see this soon, my poor DS (5 years old) has a problem with his tongue tonight and he's crying uncontrollably. It's 10:30 pm and this isn't like him. I called a medical help line and they thought he might have an infected taste bud. Fancy that. There isn't much we can do for him according to the nurse I spoke with. I actually put an ice pack on it and that seemed to help enough for him to get to sleep. But then he woke up screaming again. Bryan is trying to get him to take a popsicle at the moment and that's not going too well.
Please pray that it stops hurting and heals up. It might be caused by stress and he's had a lot lately with a new sister joining the family. Haven't we all!

Oh, Zaz, this is a "weird" prayer request - Your poor son is going through so much right now and stress shows up in so many different ways especially in children. His whole life just got turned upside down. Prayers and Hugs coming your Way for your Son and your entire family - as I'm sure all of you are experience some "stress" as you settle down into this new albeit different life.

Well, he's definitely better this morning. He's not screaming or crying anyway. For awhile last night, he would sleep and then wake up 30 minutes later screaming. We got some popsicle stuff on his tongue and that would help for a while. The nurse I spoke to didn't think we needed to give him a pain reliever, but I did. And then he slept through the night. Janae, on the other hand, woke me up three times. *sigh* 
Thanks for the prayers. The dot on his tongue is still there. I think it's just not mad at the moment. This all started last night when Zay brushed his teeth. I'm off to make him a nice, soft breakfast now.

Sorry I didn't see this last night, Zaz (I go to bed with the chickens) but I'm glad to hear he's better this morning. Poor little guy, and Poor Mommy - not much sleep. Hope you can have a take it easy day!

awww, poor baby...definitely some soft food and some warms hugs for right now...i'm glad you gave him something for his pain last night (why not!)...ah, i remember so well the sleep deprived life when small children are in the house...prayers for renewed strength and energy for you and dh!
