I knew I like playing around with computers and photos. Now that I somewhat know what I'm doing I love it even more. I'm now working on a photo taken of my grandfather (dad's father) in his WWII uniform. I'm going to use the "In Loving Memory" kit. A lot of these pictures I have from my dad's side were in the barn or the house. Either way they were covered in bug stuff, dirt, dust, stuck together, and who knows what else was on them. Actually I do, I'm never going to sit down in the middle of a barn again. My grandparents used to raise birds. There hasn't been any in there for a long time, but there must have still been little mites in there. It was awful to go through that for a month, but in a way it was worth it to get the pictures. Because I'm the only one of the six grandchildren who really cares enough to fix them. The layout I posted earlier today is my dad's mother. They used to have peacocks about 20 years ago and I found some gorgeous pictures of them. I think I'll do a layout of them too sometime. I emailed a copy of my Granny's layout to my dad, cousin, and aunt. They were all completely amazed on how well the photos looked.

I also wanted to thank Jan and Anna for teaching me how to restore my family photos. Before their classes I was going by trial and error. Now I actually know what I'm doing! The possiblities I have now with the photos are endless.

I also wanted to thank all of you for your comments on my layouts. They have been extremely helpful.

You sound so excited and happy to be digi scrapping!

Aren't Jan and Anna the best! They are great teachers and have so much knowledge to share.

I know what you mean! I never really knew what I looked like as a baby until I took Jan's class. :D

I just talked to my dad and he had seen my grandmother's layout on his phone. He got a chance to look at it on his laptop today and he is really impressed. He sounded excited about how I could fix the torn photos and get rid of the years of dirt and bug spots. I am so looking forward to tonight's color class to see what else Anna has for me to learn!
