I'll look for it this week-end.

hmmm... I'll be travelling during the chat. Will there be an ongoing thread during the month with the members discussing?

I'm excited about this though - I'll be able to get more involved after our tour...

YAY!!! I don't have to keep the secret anymore! I can breathe again!

It WAS a fun chat! Thanks to all of you who came. I was a little surprised that we had so many people show up. That made me happy, though.

Thanks, Shari! You've done a great job organizing this!

Gotta go finish reading!

I look forward to reading this book. It will add a new dimension to my list. I usually only read fiction so this will be a nice change.

Thanks Shari and Zaz for organizing it.

I also love the blinkie. :penguins:

I'll try to get the book this weekend. After looking her up on Amazon, I may have to get a couple of her cookbooks also. I could always use another slow cooker cookbook.

I just love this lady! I saw her life story on the Food Network about a year ago; man she is a tough lady like Kaye said earlier!

I will purchase it this weekend and add to my reading list!

THANK you so much for starting a SG Book Club! This is going to be so wonderful!

PS - Shari - you are the ultimate blinkie maker of all time! This one rocks SG! Way to go! I am proudly showcasing it in my siggy!

I don't know for sure, but I'm betting that Valerie made the blinkie for us. I'm betting Shari will clarify that when she gets up. :)

Oh I am bummed! My library doesn't have the book! I guess that is a problem of living in a small town- small town, small library. I have sworn off buying new books this year. Our house is over-run with books (we all love to read) and I decided at the beginning of the year that I needed to use the libary more. Bummer! Perhaps I can join in the next chat. Have fun!

Bummer. My library doesn't have it and neither does the biggest book store in my area... I have one more place to check locally over the weekend, if they don't have it, I guess I'll have to order it online. And wait for it to arrive. Great.

Still haven't figured out the blinkie - it's nice tho!

Yes ... all "Official" SG Blinkies are made by V. I was bouncing up and down in my chair with excitement when I saw it. Isn't it great?!

Don't give up just yet. Check with your library by phone, they might be able to get it for you via inter library loan. If you have a community college anywhere near you, you can get a library card there usually around 5.00 charge and they definitely can get it for you if they don't have it.
