I really want to make the card on the home page for my husband for our anniversary Tues. but cannot figure out how to make it from the SG club card kit. Also, is there a way to make "Happy Anniversary" in the text? If so , please tell me how. Thank you very much.

Hi Lisa,

It's pretty easy to make the card on the front on the homepage from the card kit in the club and it only took me about 20 minutes to do it. I will tell you how I made it and then you can modify the instrutions to make your anniversary card.

1. I opened the card sheet up in my graphics program, made a copy of it and closed the original so I didn't accidentally make any permenant changes to the original file.

2. Now working on the copy I added the name "Sharon" to one of the blank text blocks that are printed alongside the card by typing the text and then sizing and rotating it to fit.

3. I found the wavey "Happy Birthday" sentiment .png file from the included files in the kit and opened it in my graphics program and copied it into the card sheet and then arranged it so that it flowed along the curve at the bottom of the card. You could also add the sentiment to the curve on the envelope as well but just make sure to turn it upside down so that when the flap of the envelope is closed the text is right side up :)

Since Happy Anniversay is not included in the card sentiments you can add it in one of two ways. If your graphics program will allow you to type text along a path you can trace the curve on the card to make a path and then type your text and it it to the path. If your graphics program doesn't offer text on a path as an option you will have to hand wrtie the sentiment on the card front.

3. After adding all my text I then printed out the card sheet and reinserted it into the printer after flipping it over and then printed the patterned paper on the back side.

4. Then I cut out the text blcok that said "Sharon" and used glitter glue to fill in the letters (I also applied some glitter glue on the card front just above and below the sentiment to highlight it and add some sparkle), then I punched two holes in the left side of the text block, added metal eyelets and threaded a fuzzy fiber through them and tied the fiber in a bow.

5. I cut the rest of the card out and used a perforation blade on my paper cutter at the place where the bookmark meets the card. (if you don't have a perforation blade you can simple score here and fold up into the card and the recipient can cut the bookmark from the card) I then folded the card at the indicated place and then folded the bookmark up into the card before closing it.

6. I then added a metal clip to the top of the text block and attached the block to the front of the card with pop dots.

7. You can hand write a personal message inside the card or you could print your message out on paper or vellum and then cut it out and glue it to the inside of your card.

8. For the envelope just print it out, cut all along the outside edge and then fold where indicated, side flaps should be folded in first and then the bottom part folded up and attached to the flaps so that the flaps are hidden inside the card.

That's it! I hope this helps!

Oh... and HAPPY ANNIVERSAY :)

Thank you so much for answering my question. I have PS CS and tried to make a path. Could you help me with that? Also, did you recolor the card from blue to gray? Thank you.

Lisa, I didn't change the color of the card, it is blue.

Wish I could help you with PS CS and the the text path but I don't know how to do it in PS CS... I made my wavey text in PhotoImpact... maybe Tonya or one of the other ladies who is more proficient in PS can help you out? :)

Thank you for your help. On my screen, the card appears grey, so I changed it! LOL. Ok. Here's hoping for some PS help.
