Each time I have posted a prayer request, I am truly in awe at the number of SG's that respond with their prayers and the Power of the Lord who hears those prayers! And, HE listens and HE listens for our PRAISE when HE answers our Prayers! We are Blessed!

As you know Gina (GinaMO) and DH take in "hard to place" foster children - many on a moments notice. A couple of weeks ago, I posted a prayer request as Gina had just taken in SIX - that's right 6 emergency kids that were found in a "drug bust" - and at the time they didn't even know if the kids were positive for drugs or not. Praise the Lord they were not. At this time, Gina already had 6 other children in her home - 12 kids - What an amazing Woman - and her DH! The Lord must find her very special indeed.

Well, right after the prayers started pouring in, a Great Aunt and Uncle were located and bottom line they were quickly approved by the courts and the 6 children moved in about 3 days. And, it turned out Gina knew the couple from her church and loved them - Great people - a wonderful home for these kids.

Well, again another problem - Gina and DH were hoping to adopt 3 of her fosters that had lived with them and bonded with them for some time - but relatives were found - but they only wanted 2 of them. I didn't post this request - but, many were praying that the relatives would open their hearts - AND THEY DID! So, while it's sad, that today Gina and family will be losing 3 kids she was hoping to adopt - but, they will stay together as a family and will be living with their grandparents.

Now Gina was just given 2 more emergency kids.

That's Gina's life.

I know I went on way too long in this post - but, what I was hoping to convey, was the power we as SG's have to pray for these children and Praise the Lord when HE finds homes for them so quickly. This isn't the normal foster system. Kids don't get placed in a GREAT home in 3 days, Siblings (especially 6 of them) don't normally stay together, and once a relative makes up their mind to only take 2 out of 3 kids - they don't suddenly decide to take all three kids - that's the LORD's work - and many Prayers!!

So, in Zaz's life we became Scrap Girl Aunts as she was awaiting Janae - what I'm proposing is that we could maybe become Scrap Girl God Mothers to these Emergency kids as they come into Gina's life as they will and we can Pray for their quick placement to a great home (or stay with Gina if that's what is best for them), and Praise the Lord when HIS work is done!

Will you continue to first, pray for Gina and family today as it will be a very hard day to lose the 3 foster children today? And, as I or others post other prayer request for these "emergency hard to place kids, I hope that you will continue to both Pray and Praise the Lord the work HE has Done and will do for Gina and "HER KIDS"?

So, is the title of Scrap Girl God Mother a good one or would like something else? We need something as these situations will come up and come up often..

Wow, I can't imagine being on this constant roller coaster! She must be a special woman indeed, it would take lots of courage and strength to go through this! I will certainly keep all of them in my prayers and thoughts - Gina & her dh and all these children that are placed in her home for however long. I hope God continues to use them to provide the shelter and love that is needed.

I am in awe of Gina and her DH. It takes a lot of love and strength to be a foster parent- one of my best friends has experienced many highs and lows as a foster parent, so I know a little of these situations.
I will be happy to be a SGGM! My prayers are with Gina on this difficult day and in the future.

Thanks Debilou for keeping us in the loop. Obviously you are a great lady, too!

Those are miraculous stories indeed. I have a friend who was a foster mom and it often family members who cared weren't in a position to take 3-4 more children. I would be honored to pray for Gina and the children who come into her home.

A big thank you to Debi and to all of you who are responding. These kids can use all the prayers they can get, and the SG's always respond, pouring out love on kids they don't even know. I have been showing the posts to the kids and have been amazed at how many people care. We love them all, from the ones we have adopted to the ones who only stay a day or two on emergency care. Letting them see the posts here and reading them to them, they get to see the world is filled with people who care, even the ones who don't know you. So to you SG God Mothers, you are making a difference and we know God hears your prayers.
:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

Gina,
WOW, you are a very great and loving person to open your heart, soul, and home to children that need a loving family when no one else speaks for them in their young lives except for courts. It is amazing to find angels like you and your husband! I will be honored to pray for them Debi Lou!

I pray that Gina and her husgand find strength and courage in the upcoming days.

Being a Scrap Girl God Mother would be an honour. I am deeply touched and humbled by Gina and her dh's commitment to caring for these children. Special people indeed! May God pour out His blessing on their family today in a way that they see clearly. I praise Him for what He has already done and give thanks that He has placed His love in their hearts. What an awesome gift.

We run a horse camp for at-risk children and our most rewarding and challenging work is with children in the foster care system. It can be heartwarming and heartbreaking in the same moment. God bless Gina and her family for having the strength and love to care for the children.

Gina,
I am touched to hear this story. As a newer girl, I am not familiar with everyone yet, and feel that I have just gotten to know so much about you. God truly has blessed many children by using you as an instrument of His Love for them. I know He loves you and DH too, so very much, and that He has more plans for you! You are such a blessing to so many! You are in my prayers, as are the children and their respective families. I am most willing to be an SG god mother, and to pray within this loving community for you all. May God give you a great big hug, and much joy always,
