Gina,
My prayers and thoughts are with you, your family, and all of your kids who are with you and who have left you. I am certain that you will remain special to them no matter how long they stayed with you.
My family did something similar when I was growing up. It was never easy to assimilate the children into our family, but it was even harder when they left.

You are children of a Heavenly Father who loves you. The six year old girl, the three year old boy, and the mom and the dad at our house will be praying that you can always feel His love when you need it most.
