God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. reinhold niebuhr

I'm so excited for you!! Faith looks absolutely adorable!! You must be happy, nervous, & about to freak out a bit with anticipation!! I can only imagine! You'll be in my prayers (as will everyone involved in the adoption process) and I can't wait until Monday myself!
(My brother & SIL are having their first baby on Thursday & are going to name her Faith!)

I just want to post - like every 5 minutes - how excited I am for the three of you, I swear I feel like she's coming to live with me. Why am I so excited? I'm not sure - I'm absolutely giddy here.
But I kind of get the feeling that I'm not the only one LOL!
Oh, have I mentioned she is perfect - those eye - she is adorable!
You will all be in my prayers for a hasty and smooth transition! Okay that's it for at least another 5 minutes!

Do take her a gift, but make sure it is not overwhelming, and if it is something to actively play with (a toddler beading set, punch out paper dolls, coloring book and crayons, etc) that will be helpful, as you can play with her and that will help you get inside her comfort zone. Talk to her about anything and everything. Sing songs she knows with her, and if you cry, tell her it is because you are so happy to meet her. She's old enough to understand happy tears and sad ones, but not to tell the difference on her own. If she has been in a good foster home, they will have been discussing a "forever family" with her, so just remember, you aren't "taking her away from" the foster home, you are "bringing her to" her forever home.
We can't wait to hear more details and our girls are saying what a cutie and what fun to dress her up (They treat all our littles, especially the girls, like big dolls bought just for them.) Prayers for all three of you. Hang in there, the time will pass.

Great ideas on the first visit. You and Zaz are like my adoption guru's. LOL It's a good thing. I need people like you in my life and to help guide the way. You both have experience and I am going to need all the advice I can get.

After Ashlin's first visit, I had to add a page to show them their bedrooms. During the first visit, he did not know that we were his forever family. So, we kept him downstairs away from the bedrooms. A crib was up for Graden, and I had put a "woobie" on Ashlin's bed (army slang for poncho liner, big enough to use as a blanket). That night, at counseling he figured out what was going on. He asked his foster mom where he would sleep, if he could bring his toys, and if he could call me mommy. So, the next night we all met at McDonald's to give them those pages.
Definitely buy a toy. The toys that we gave to Ashlin and Aurora at the first meeting are very special to them.

As far as the album goes, the state of California makes us do an album if one wants to adopt. I had that done first thing. LOL Now hoping that she likes it.
