My sister (Liam's great-grandmother) just called me and said that although Liam is a good size baby (8 lbs), his little arteries were crossed so they have to operate and swtich his main arteries. Poor little guy. Keep praying for him.

Liam went into surgery at 9:00 A.M. today. The surgery was expected to last 6 hours (poor little guy).
I am waiting to hear from my sister and will let you all know how he is doing.

They rushed him away to Boston so quickly after he was born that his mom (my grand-niece) hadn't even held him yet! They set aside 1/2 hour before the surgery so she could hold him. I bet that was emotional!!!!
He's doing well......thanks for all of your prayers.....will keep you posted. He should be going home in 10 to 12 days.

Liam was operated on Wednesday.
On Thursday late afternoon they removed some of the wiring he was hooked up to.
On Thursday night they removed the breathing tube.
On Thursday night his mom was talking to him and he opened his eyes.
On Friday (today) he is alert and they expect to take him out of ICU on Sunday.
The doctor told Liam's parents that he could possibly be going home on Friday!!!!
