I love the name you have chosen - it's beautiful and very musical. So many of the pretty names the other SG's have mentioned sound great with it but I really liked the way Eliana Sophia sounds. ..... so soft and sweet but if you yell it out loud, like she's just left her shoes in the middle of the hallway again it still works! Try it!

"Eliana Sophia, how many times have I told you to put your shoes in the closet!"

And yet when she's being perfect it sounds so nice....

"Oh, Eliana Sophia, you are such a smart little girl. Look at all those A's on your report card!"

:) Have fun and know that whatever name you choose it will be the perfect one!

Oh Janine ... you are a thinker! I love it! Totally works both ways!

Beautiful name.

Just thought I would add mine. I see Marie was already mentioned. Mine were Marie or Maria.

I don' post much... but am really enjoying your work.
If you haven't already chosen a middle name- I think that Elise is cute. It is a form of Elizabeth and means "My God is a vow". If you don't like the initials E.E.P. you can spell it with an A... Alise.

We were going to the name on our last girl and I was really starting to like it. But my daughter was born during the New Years Day Rose Bowl last year so my husband was really into the middle name ROSE.

Good luck choosing!

My vote is for any two syllable name. --- -- - would be a good name rhythm

I love that name Angela! Our last name is Payne also so we needed the extra syllables too.

Here's a few I liked when naming our daughter (meaning meant a lot to us too so we went with the first one)
Catherine - Pure
Michelle - who is like God
Mercy - Compassion
Sophia - Wisdom

Those are just a few. We had a list a mile long! So glad I'm not going through all that again. Naming a child is hard! They have to live with what you choose for their whole life. Too much pressure!

Don't know if you have made a choice yet - I agree it's worth the work! -She will carry this with her forever.

My two cents: Catherine and Sophia sound great. But I like Michelle because of the meaning along with Eliana -"God answers, Who is like Him?"

You have chosen a very beautiful first name (don't listen to those negative comments!!) and I am sure you and DH will make a great choice for her middle name! How very blessed she is already - what a wonderful family she is joining!

Looking forward to an update and her arrival,
Jeanne (Gracegirl)
