I'm sure you guys do stuff like this all the time, but for me actually making something and printing it out is new. I am inspired by all you paper crafters out there so I had to share.

I am working on a new collection and needed to make a gift for a friend. So I printed my papers and ornaments, even the alphas and decorated a frame. I would have never thought of it before!

I know it is simple but I love the way it turned out. Thanks for the inspiration to get out my glue and scissors girls.... I don't know how often I will do it (what a mess!) but it was fun. :)

All the mess you may have had seems to have been well worth it, Great Job! Now if only I could find my scrapbook room, which is now buried in bags and boxes, I might be able to something else the paper way, ;).

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

I printed off my first digital creation last week. Had been working on it for about 5 weeks but turned out beautiful. Sorry, didn't have time to take a pic of it. It was for a baby shower I was helping with. There are plenty of pages in it to add photos of the baby and other guests. But 8 pages were dedicated to guests journaling in. It was a hit!! And I had so much fun working on it. Now I need to get inspired to work on something else.

HI,
One thing I did was make a picture for my bathroom. I the bathroom in dolphins with stencils on the wall and needed a picture. Couldn't find one I liked so I made one, bought a frame at Wally and painted it to match. Came out pretty good I think! I also make paper potpourri containers to hang in my closets. I grow my own lavender so I put that in them. Also I just finished making a bunch of pictures of peppers for my kitchen. Got all kinds of pics of clipart and old seed pack etc. on the web and made frames and used that poster putty to stick them up. I've had one idea about making my own wallpaper border for my kitchen. Haven't decided if I want to try it yet.

Me too Mary. I noticed that the original post is dated Sept. 2005 so my guess is that it's not there anymore.

Thanks Mandy!

That's a really neat frame. I never do stuff like that. Maybe I should try something one of these days.

I recently suggested this idea to my daughter! She loves the beautiful digital layouts but also loves the cutting, pasting part of regular scrapbooking. She and I were in a craft store the other day, and the things now available for regular scrapbooking are just gorgeous.....but....they cost a fortune!! So I told her about your idea Lissa and it works great!! Thanks for sharing your idea. Mary Ann :clapping_kitty: PS: This was also a great idea for people who want the beautiful things, but don't have the time (or patience, lol) to learn a digi scrapping program.
