March Swap Crop

CRS

Recommended Posts

Well, my insane weekend is finally over, and I am looking forward to seeing all of the heritage layouts on Friday!! The chat is at 9 pm et on Friday. How is everyone doing? I saw that many of you have finished up already!

Do you all like having the extra week to scrap, or would you rather go back to having 2 weeks to complete the layout? I'm just trying to get an idea for the dates for next month.

My bil scanned in over 600 heritage photos from both sets of families on dh's side and gave me copies! I can't wait to look through them all and start scrapping them!

You can add your layouts to the gallery here.

My layout for Carol (lorac) is well underway but not quite finished yet. She's already gotten two done for me! I'm not sure whether I'll be able to make the chat but I will have my layout posted before the chat time.

Well-I think mine is going fine. I'm still intimidated by doing someone else's photos. I am super excited to see the layout my partner does!!

This is my first swap-I like the extra time, but doesn't really matter!!

600 photos-how fun! I have a bunch I want to scan in, but I'm thinking of sending them off to be scanned.

Back to work!!

My LO for Kim (podiumchick) is in process, again. The original LO is on my EHD that went AWOL during my recent time away from home (along with most of my scrap supplies). So I had an excuse to buy a new collection and start again.

I won't be able to make it to the chat on Friday as my DH is coming home that day on leave for a week (he's been gone for 6 weeks!). We'll be having our first family meal together in a while. YIPPEE! But I will miss being part of the chat. How often do we have two great things to do on the same day??? Too bad for me.

And, of course, I'll post my LO for Kim before the chat (hope you like it Kim) probably some time in the morning as I'll be traveling all day to pick up DH at the airport.

My lo's for Pat (PBarnes) are done. I couldn't make up my mind between two that I did on one of her photos, so I'll be uploading two different lo's for her, and then only one on the other photo. So, there will be a total of three layouts for Pat. I keep changing them around, so I'm not even going to look at them again until it's time to upload (when do we do that?). I think I'll be able to make the chat, as it's 6pm pacific time for me. I love the extra time, but then it gives me too much time to redo and rethink what I've already done. Ah, such is the life of genius.....

I'm done.

I think.

Maybe.

lol

I keep thinking maybe I should do something different. I already did the layout 2 different ways. Will just post both. I'll try to make it to the chat...might be a little late. How long do they usually last? 1/2 hour...1 hour? longer?

I like the idea of the "extra" week. But this is my first swap...so not a good judge here. lol

The chats are an hour, sometimes a little longer. Depends on the crowd size and how chatty everyone is. I'll be there for at least an hour.

It sounds like everyone is doing great!

I've done two LO's for Ann - yes, they're done, I'm not looking at them anymore!! lol One is heritage - or as close to heritage as I could do. Ann sent me some great photos of her family, I loved them all and used as many as I could. The 2nd LO I did is more of a traditional scrapbook page, colourful and sort of fun. Hope she likes them both!

I probably won't make the chat - or won't stay for long if I do manage to log in, we'll see. I'll get the LO's posted on Friday for sure tho.

This has been fun!

Janine, I just have to tell you how much I love your siggy!

The extra week is nice, but I see a lot of you seem to have too much time to change things on your lo's, and change things, and change things! I don't have a partner this month, but I bet I'd be doing the same thing to my lo!

I've had Opal's done for a while and I have stopped trying to change them. I think I did them over, completely, three or four times. I kept changing my idea of what made a heritage layout exactly that. I hope she likes them. I felt as if I got to know her, and her family a bit by doing this, mainly because her journaling was so complete. I am hoping to make the chat... see you there!

Oh boy....

after reading the responses...I'm wondering if mine is 'heritage-y" enough. lol

I might need to go make a duller looking layout.

Sorry Vaughnde.

Maybe I'll have THREE for you to look at.

lol

Tracy sent me some really neat pictures. I was truly inspired. Although I don't think it classifies as traditional heritage (never did one before.) I have it completed except for fony choice and one layer that I am trying to decide on or off. Guess we think alike Tracy.

I've been done for a couple of weeks now..........patiently waiting for the chat. Please don't make me wait another week, I don't think I could stand it! I'd go crazy, I tell ya, crazy! :)

Sounds like you already went over the edge. lol See you at the chat.

I'm just getting started. I'm glad for the extra week this time because it fell during spring break! The truth is, I'd probably wait until a few days before because I am ruled by deadlines....

I may also be missing the chat--long story involving a DD home from college over Easter whose car decided to die and a chance to return it and see her perform on piano Friday night. Looks like Debbie (B & K Mom) will also be busy that night. Either way, I'll get the LO posted!

I think I am done.. Not sure though.. I think it needs something else... This is my first swap, am I supposed to do more than one LO?? If so, it is fine I just need to get busy on it :)

This has been a fun one to do. It was challenging doing someone elses pics since I usually pic the colors of the LO to the type of person they are. This one I had to depend on the journaling and still keep it heritage...

I think MaryJo is gonna love it.. I hope so anyway

I don't think more than one LO is expected, Richelle. I'm sure what you have MaryJo will love!

Nope, only one layout is expected. If you want to do more than one, that's up to you.

Don't stress over whether the layout looks "heritage" enough. The focus is the photo(s) and journaling. As long as the layout makes the photo shine, that's all that matters!
