I have an HP Photosmart 1215. I started printing pages for Ian's graduation album yesterday and for some reason my printer will not print my "vellum". I just use a white shape that I give a transparent fade. Any eyelets or rivets I use to "attach" the vellum and all the text prints. Am I doing something wrong or is it just a glitch on this printer? Any suggestions? It's becoming rather annoying, not to mention the fact that it's an incredible waste of ink.

When you flatten your image, do you still see the vellum? What is your fade on it? I wouldn't go any lower than 40%.. I can't imagine that it is the printer. Try bringing the fade up to 75% and printing it. If you still can't see it, then my guess is that the printer would be at fault. Are all your inks full??

You do have a patterned or solid paper under your vellum, right? Printers won't print white...
But, if you have a patterned piece of paper, covered with vellum, text, and then fasteners...I don't know why it wouldn't print. Hmmm. Programs/printer you are using, please?

My ink cartridge is brand new. I think you may be onto something with the % of the fade. I'm noticing that some of my pages with vellum are printing fine, while others are not ( I do fade them differently depending on the page). I did find that if I re-saved the file as a .jpg it printed just fine.
Thanks for the in-put. I can always count on the fact that someone here at scrapgirls will have an answer.
