Happily Exhausted Afternoon with the grandkids

I've been away from the message board since just before noon today because my son came over with the grandkids to do laundry. They are staying at a motel until they can find an apartment (just back from England for those that don't know me) and doing laundry at the folks house is a lot cheaper than at the motel.

Fixed them all lunch then Olivia, the youngest at 3, wanted to take a nap. The rest of us went down to the lower family room to play with toys and Ruby (4 yrs old) said she had a tummy ache. She had some diarrhea and then went to lay down too. Caelum (8 yrs old) and I headed out side and he had a great time climbing trees and shooting basketball in the Fisher Price hoop. Of course, I was busy with my camera. The girls finally woke up and we all went outside to play. I'm attaching one photo and hope to get some layouts done with the rest of them soon. Whew! Grandma's exhausted.

Oh Pat they are home ! How exciting for you!!! They are just beautiful kids, and I'm glad you're exhausted... lol I'm sure it was a great day !! What a great grand mom, taking care of them while Dad does laundry.. Get some rest and have a great evening !!!

Oh, Pat! I know you must be jumping up and down "inside" with excitement even though you are worn on the "outside!" Isn't having them around just the best?! I had Dylan from friday am to late sat pm...at 2 1/2, he never stops...but, oh, so much fun! (so much fun to spoil them and just have fun with them without any of the responsibilities of raising them!) enjoy them, grandma!!!!

They are adorable!! I wonder if the kids are having some trouble adjusting to the move and that's what's causing the tummy trouble. Anyway, I know you are enjoying yourself and I'm so happy they are close to you again. You said you are exhausted, but I'm sure it's a happy exhaustion! I can't wait for the layouts!

Your grandchildren are adorable!

It must be great having them close again. I hope they find an apartment soon.

Isn't it nice that we can give them back to Dad at the end of the day; mine wear me out somedays just watching them play!
