So you just go ahead and vent all you want to, but to us...please don't say angry words you will not be able to defend or retract. And hopefully, the next time you have plans everything will go smoothly for you.
The best thing you can do is to make absolutely sure that your granddaughter sees you and your DH acting like responsible, compassionate adults with HER best interests at heart, and to make sure every minute she spends with you is quality time.
Go ahead and write that paper yourself, the one giving you full authority and visitation privileges. This will help you deal with this anger today. And remember, living well is the best revenge!

I did leave a message to my grandaughters mother phone that i was sorry i cut her off short & hung up & i really didnt mean it there is just only so much that we can handle & it seems that our weekend just dont matter to everyone. Told her to call me back which she wont & I did say i was sorry it was better than being really mean & saying what i really wanted to.
Thanks for listening to my rant

This makes me so sad. I wish my kids Grandparents wanted to spend time with my kids (ok, to be fair some of their grandparents DO and some do NOT).
I hope for you and for your grand-daughters sake that you get to spend some time with her.
Also, glad you were able to vent in a safe and happy place.

The interviewer was a bit taken aback by this and asked what Chairman Mao could have taught such a learned and reverend man.
With an ever bigger smile he said "Patience."

Beth,
You rock! That's the sweetest thing to say - music to a grandparent's ears - and heart! Your parents, and parents-in-law are so very lucky to have such a generous daughter!

I'll be praying for a change of heart for her, and for patience for you and your husband.
