8 X 8 Albums

Hi, Does anyone know where to buy 8x8 ring binder albums? I prefer this type instead of the post bound, but I can't find them at the craft stores. Everything is made for 12x12 prints. Thanks so much! :thanks:

Another 8x8 question: Is it typical for an 8x8 album to have pages that are actually 8.5 x 8.5 inches?

I am making an 8x8 gift album, I have my LO's printed and found an album in just the right style. But there is a 1/4 inch of page hanging out around each edge of the LO. The cream color 'frame' doesn't really complement all the cool color schemes I worked so hard to create! Will I face this with all albums of this size or do I just need to shop around for another brand of album?

(I usually use 12x12 albums since I started out w/ traditional scrabooking and still have slots to fill.)

Thanks for any advice!

I have found some 8X8 albums with that extra room too. doesn't look at all good for two page LOs. I get my 8X8 albums at Hobby Lobby, don't remeber the brand and they seem fine. They are often on sale and there are lots of colors and styles. I haven't seen any ring binders in that size. If you have a 12X12 ring binder you like I would try to contact that company to see if they have anything similar in 8x8.

I've actually bought them at Target and Walmart and they were true to size. I bought one at a craft store but I was looking specifically for ones on sale because the Target and Walmart purchases were less money - even though the albums from Target were made by major paper manufacturers. I've also purchased 8.5x8.5 at Target so just watch the size carefully.

If you have a printer that will print edge to edge, it doesn't matter which one you have. I have one and I get photo paper and print them out at 8.5x8.5 just fine.

Hope that helps some.

I use Pioneer 8 x 8 which are very nice. For my 12 x 12 LOs, I use a Hiller 3 ring binder from WE R Memory Makers. It is a great binder and they also have good page protectors. A C Moore is now carrying the binders and page protectors which is nice with the 40% off coupons! lol

I would hope that they will make an 8 x 8 binder especially with the popularity of that size.

K&Company are the only company I know of that makes the 8.5x8.5 albums. They are beautiful albums, but I only use them for specific albums (weddings, gift albums, etc.) because I have to know ahead of time to print the layouts in that slightly larger size. :P

Try We R Memory Keepers albums for ring-bound 8x8. I think they have both ring- and post-bound styles.

Thanks Everyone. The one I got was K&Company - too bad the size is off, the album colors perfectly match the bridesmaid dresses & flowers of the bride I'm making the album for. :( Unfortunately I am in the process of moving so my printers are packed and I already had the LO's printed 8x8 at Costco.

I'm glad to hear this is not a common problem. Now I have an excuse to go out shopping for another one. There's a brand new Joann Fabrics that I love to visit because all the paper scrapping stuff is so nice and pretty..... I just have to resist buying any of it now that I'm digital.
