CRS
I just finished reading Aunt Dimity's Death by Nancy Atherton. There is a whole series of these books that I stumbled on by accident at the library last week. The best way to describe them is a fairy tale that becomes a mystery and ghost story. It really is a good story, with a no blush factor. Growing up, the main character's mother tells her stories about Aunt Dimity. After her mother passes away, she finds out that Aunt Dimity was a real person and has just passed away herself. The main character has no money and has a cynical look on life. Aunt Dimity leaves her a task to complete and if she does, the main character will receive a handsome paycheck. I thought it was a good, quick read and a nice break from the murder, kidnapping, thriller type mysteries. I'll definitely be checking out the next books in the series! I just thought I'd share. Julie - scrapaholic
Thanks Carla for the suggestion. Now that I am home at nights during the summer I tend to read more than during the year. Will have to go and check this out at the library, sounds good.

Smiles
They are great! The heroine is not infallible, and the characters are delightful. I think you will enjoy them all. Gayle
CRS
Thanks, Gayle. It's nice to have a second opinion that matches my own!
kasevers
I picked up this book yesterday because of your recommendation. I couldn't put it down! I finished it before I went to bed. Needless to say I didn't get anything done around the house so I have lots of cleaning to do today! Thanks for recommending this book! Do the books follow a particular order? Which one is next in the series?
Smiles
They do, but I just read whichever one I can get out of the library next. It's not hard to follow if you skip some. She did write a "prequal" that took place before Our Heroine inherited the book that ties up a few loose ends. Hope you enjoy the series as much as I have.
