these pictures of the boy's room. This year we decided for Christmas part of their gift was going to be new twin beds (1 for each of them) and bedding. Well the boys had/have a real problem with this. They have basically slept together since birth (except for about 4months) and they don't want to seperate. So we decided that we would make the room extra special and maybe the transition will go smoother. Since they LOVE spongebob we painted a spongebob mural on the wall. My mom and myself have spent the last 3 weeks painting walls, drawing characters and then painting them. Finally it's done! Now i'm just waiting for the beds to come.

Oh wow wow wow! You and your dear mother are more than welcome to come paint my boys room any time, :). They too love Spongebob, but I haven't found the time to get their room finished the way I'd like to. Looks great & I'm sure they will love it. Having something they both like on the walls should help make the transition easier. When we moved here, moving Cola was sooo hard. She was used to having things the way they were since she was born, so when we moved, we ended up having to paint the bedroon the same colors etc. that her old room was just to get her to actually sleep in her new room. It wasn't our idea in reality, it was her dr's idea and we were just so glad it worked out.
P.S.
I found some spongebob stencils for the kids bathroom, just haven't had the time to get that done either, I could freehand it, but figured by using the stencils in the kids bathroom, that maybe they would think more of it if they got to help do the painting etc. Drawing all those characters freehand, wow, what a great room it is!

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

Did you just do the one wall as an accent wall Angie or does it continue around the whole room? Been wondering about this for a while now.

I just did the one wall. It's a smaller room so I didn't want it to seem even smaller. The other walls are white with the aqua blue baseboard and trim around the top. The ceiling though is the same color as the blue wall with the lighter blue "bubbles" all over it. Then their ceiling fan I took the blades off and covered them with a SpongeBob material that I got at Wal Mart

You did a great job.

Did you do this freehand or did you have some sort of guide?
