Have never engaged in a chat room or posted to people or joined to be able to talk to people. I have been digi scrapping for a couple of years and have lots of cool ScrapGirls kits, etc, just haven't had the nerve to actually contact real people! So, I decided to take the leap and here I am. Scrapbooking has been my therapy of late, my way of coping with some difficult events in our family's life. I live in the Chicago area, a suburb called Park Ridge, with my husband Raffe. We had dinner with her last year and it was so neat to see the beautiful tree-lined neighborhoods. I'll bet you have some fun photos of your grandchildren to scrapbook, huh? I love having one more "older" scrapper in the group. My oldest grandson is 15.... guess what? Lots of layouts featuring them! Looking forward to seeing some of yours and getting to know you better! So, just jump right in and in no time you'll be all over the site ! Make sure you join in on some of the chats. SG's has a New Member chat at least twice a month, Make sure you attend that one, they explain all sorts of things and answer lots of questions ! Scrap Girls truly is a family for many of us !!!! I came to ScrapGirls in April, because my sister in law asked me what I knew about digital scrapbooking. I decided to research it, and . . . here I am! I've been a paper scrapbooker for years, but I've caught the digi-fever now. I couldn't believe how quickly people welcomed me here, and I was a little frightened at first. I've always been a little skeptical of message boards, chat rooms, etc. But I couldn't be happier about getting involved here on the MB, because it's a wonderful community of friendly, caring, and helpful people.
