Guest staceyinga
hello all. i am venturing into this intriguing hobby. i've been paper scapping for 8 years and and overwhelmed as to how to make the transition. i am years behind (about 4 - even though here and there i've scapped a few pages). so my question is where do i start? i have software to use and ordered renee peason's new book - just don't know what to do first. any suggestions from those that were behind would be helpful. thanks! Betsy
Hi Stacey! Welcome to Scrapgirls! Check out the newly redesigned University here at Scrap Girls - tons of great info to help you get started!
Wxchic
Welcome Stacy! I know that digital can seem so overwhelming when you get started. The best thing to do is to open your graphics program and dive in. Learn your way around, try a few things...It won't be perfect at first, but the more you do, the better it will get. Betsy mentioned the University, and I have to agree that it is a cornucopia of information. Try that first. Let us know if you have any other questions. Let us know what software you are using too...that might help us help you a little more! Have fun!
Guest artchick
I totally agree! When I first started digiscrapping I just had to dive into my graphics program and play! The more you play, the more you'll learn! Don't worry about being "behind." That's just part of scrapping! I heard Stacy Julian, the founding editor of Simple Scrapbooks, speak last year and she said we will never be "caught up" because we are always taking photos and always coming up with something new to scrap! Don't focus on the fact that your "behind" just get in there and scrap!! Good luck and welcome to scrapgirls.com.
