OH zoom pages are so awesome!! Have you seen those pages all over the net, where they have the page finished and all you do is add your photo? but you cant change anything? cant move the paper? The Zoom pages give you the basics for 2 pages! and you can adjust them, change them how you need! You can even use the parts separately on other layouts. They are so cool.

You can find them under the "Assemble your own" category.

yep, what angela said. bascially... theyre just like little collections. but we do a lot of the work for you, including neat things like paper pieces, coordinating embellishments, etc. we also give you layout examples specifically using these products to show you what you can do with these little gems.

a lot of times youll find these in addition to the "regular" collections, or sometimes theyre their own unique theme and colors not seen before in a previous collection.

and like angela said, you can use these pieces just like you would regular collections. you can use them anywhere you wish!

I love love love the zoom pages. Best of all you can mix and match them. The 4x6 ones are awesome because you can use them for quick 4x6 layouts that you can make up within an hour (depending on your skill) or two and print out same day on your printer and mail off to family and friends or put in your own brag book...yes this grammy has her own brag book :)

I love the Zooms...especially the 4x6 like Vaughnde said. They are really easy to make mini albums, and are so economical to get printed. There are templates, as well as kits, and they are FUN! Very good for card-making too....I'll do a 4x6 card, get it printed (I don't have a good printer at home) and mat is on some of my cardstock from the ancient days of paper scrapping!

how are Zoom pages different from Easy Pages?

Zoom pages are all in coordinating pieces that you put together in combinations that are pleasing to you.

Easy Pages are like frames that you drop your pictures into. You can add more embellishments or type to them, but you can't remove what's already there.

I have several of both and I like them for different reasons. You can't beat Easy Pages for being, well easy! LOL all you do is put in a picture and add some title words and journaling. I like the zoom pages because they are itty bitty collections and I can put one together quickly as long as I limit myself to the items in the zoom kit. But if I feel like taking more time I can use the zoom pieces in any way I choose or in combination with other collections.

Two GREAT products!

Ok - let's see if I can get this right!

I've got some zoom thingies with the scrap simple club stuff, but their 'kits' are not always to my taste so I'd like to be able to use some of my other stuff.

Now - if the stuff with the zoom is specifically 4x6 ... and I want to use something from a 12x12 kit ... is it better to cut a 4x6 from a 12x12 paper or would I be better to resize (although resizing from a square paper to a rectangle would make the patterns look either stretched or flattened) ... and how does the same thing work with elements.

Help - I really want to do some nice printable brag books but haven't a clue on where to start.

Any takers for help with this one?

I've done 2 4x6 albums in the last few months. One about 40 pages for dh for father's day and the other about 70 pages for my dad's 70th birthday last month. I bought a several 4x6 layout templates and used mostly papers (12x12) that I already had-- resizing them to 6x6 and sometimes 4x6 if they were solid and had cool edges. The pages were taking about 20-30 minutes each, and after a while I started mixing up the templates and adding in other frames for variety. I printed them on my Epson printer at home, borderless and scaled to 96% so it didn't cut off too much of the edges. Let me know if you have any more questions. Several of them are in my gallery.

You use the crop tool to crop patterned papers to 4x6,8x10,5x7 sizes

since you changing the width to height ratio.

You set the size using the aspect ratio box in the crop tool settings.

If you resize a 12x12 to 8x8 you not changing the width to height ratio.

You just have a smaller square.

Sometimes its nice to resize things for smaller projects, instead of cropping, just to help keep the paper detail more on scale with everything else. Just be careful if you resize the file NOT to save over your original!
