I tried to find these at my Target over the weekend, and I didn't. But to be honest, I didn't check out any of the links you all provided, so I may have overlooked them.

I do have a question, though. Suppose you're not the most coordinated person in the world? Are the basic techniques for Kettlebells hard to learn? The thought of doing a workout that professional dancers do makes me think I'd look like a complete klutz trying to keep up.

But I need something FUN to stay in the game. And this just looks like it would be a blast to use!

Becca -

There are only one or two exercises that can take a few times to get "into the groove" - all the rest are pretty straight forward! A friend of mine that does the workouts with me struggles a LOT when we do new aerobic or steps routines but she had the kettlebell ones down by her second workout.

Glad to hear you say that, Cary! I found this Amazon.com - 5lb Kettlebell Kit on Amazon.com with FREE SUPER SAVER shipping, so I ordered it. I know 5lbs is rather light, but I haven't been working out in over a year or so. And the price of $18.99 was a little hard to resist to get a feel for what it's like.

Becca - I checked out the link and this looks like a great way to get started! I had been lifting weights before the kettlebells (not 100% consistently but enough so I did have some strength to start) and the 10 lb kettlebell still seemed pretty heavy! I've never tried one of the "FIRM" DVDs - let us know what you think. I'm ready to add some variety to my workouts!

I tried mine for the first time today. It wasn't' as bad as I thought it would be. I wasn't' able to do the ones where you start out on the ground & then get up. Ive had 4 knee surgeries & I knew that it would put to much pull on it. So instead tomorrow, I just plan on doing extra swings.

I've been doing my workout with a dumbbell (everytime I go into a store to buy one, all they have left is 5 pounds, or 25 pounds!), and I'm just wondering, how much weight are you all using? I've tried using my mom's bell (15 pounds), and it seemed a little heavy, but I think 10 would be too light. I don't want to hurt myself, but I also don't want to use it for a week and decide I need to go buy another one!

Sheri, I'm using the 10 pounder, which I thought was a little heavy when I started three weeks ago, but I'm already thinking about moving up to the 15. If it's only a "little" heavy, I'd go with the 15 if I were you.

Sheri - I've been using the 10 and am going to stick with it for a bit more. I make it through all the exercises but still get a little bit of the "shakes" on some. As soon as I can do all of them easily, I'll move up. If you're already using the 15 though, 10 may feel too light for you!

It's so cool to see so many of you enjoying this workout. I hope you're feeling encouraged and motivated to keep it up. Go, kettlebabes! :)

Has anyone done the Kettlenetics DVD's? I have the Goddess one & have been doing that somewhat routinely but am getting a little bored of it (the no music, hear them breathing all of the time is kind of weird!). I happened to be turning on the tv this morning to do my workout & they had the Kettlenetics lady (Michelle) on QVC. I'm kind of tempted to order it (set of 5 DVD's) for some variety but would love to know what others think of it.

I've heard of them. Let me know if you order them and like it.

Our local morning news show had a feature about kettlebells a couple weeks ago. I felt so smart that I knew what they were just from reading the MB ;)
