I'm trying to back up my files onto DVD. But my DVD maker program keeps telling me my file names are too long. This is a problem, because I have WAY to many to go in and manually shorten the names of the files. Does anyone know of a DVD maker program that does not care about the length of the filename?

Nero is truly my first choice as well, ;). While there are others out there, Nero seems to be at the top of everyones list. You could though actually look for a program to make renaming the files for you much easier. There is one called rename star that I use for renaming files, but not sure if it works for video files. There are more out there as well I am sure though that are for renaming video files in an easier way.

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!

I'm a Nero girl too!

It automatically adjusts it for you if the file names are too long (Since this has happened to me a few times)
