Oh, I wish we had had a picture taken like that when our son's adoption was final. What a treasure that picture is and will be in the years to come. I can tell you, as a foster parent and an adoptive mother, that the best we can do is love them for who they are. Genetics sometimes gets in the way and can make life difficult at times but I will always love my adopted son, no matter what. And right now, we are really going through some trials and tribulations with him. We got him when he was three weeks old and he is now 18 and really pushing all the buttons. Hormones and genetics are a difficult mix! Good luck and much love to you and your family. Just always remember that God doesn't give us more than He thinks we can handle. (There are days when I question that, but I know it is true)
