I just got this and every time I open it, it hijacks various file associations for itself. I've got a lot of graphics programs and all before this one usually ask you what you want to associate with them, but not this one (another type of Microsoft arrogance?). I've been through all the drop down menu's and the help file and even did a search for file associations but can't find where to associate the various file types back the way I want them. As I'm working with various programs, I prefer to have the generic types (jpgs, bmps, pngs, etc) not associated with any specific program so I can see all my images in windows explorer. But DIP grabs them without asking and then when I try to view something in explorer, it starts to open DIP instead. My workaround has been to go into PSP, associate the types with it, which takes them back from DIP, and then take them away from PSP to give it back to explorer. But I'm getting real tired of this. I give up...where/how/can I?

No worries, easy to fix. Navigate in windows explorer to one of the files you want to change. Right click on it and choose Open with...Select the program you want it to use from now on, and check the box that says "Always use this program" (I'm paraphrasing, it might be worded slightly different.) From then on, it will use that program!
