I was at Ikea last week and browsing through the frame department when I spotted the cutest thing to display layouts. It is 6 hanging plexiglass 6" X 6" frames. It's shown online but, unfortunately, not for sale online: Finlir Fladdra. They are only $6.99. Each frame can hold 2 photos back to back.

I picked one up but haven't done anything with it as I really can't think where to hang it, but it was just too stinking cute! I was thinking it would even be great with that new 8" X 8" calendar set: ScrapSimple Digital Layout Album Templates: 8x8 Photo Calendar 2009 .

Too cute! I might just hang it against a wall and flip it around to display different LOs as my mood changed. Thanks for sharing.

That sounds really neat! I wonder how far away the nearest Ikea is . . . ;) Show us pics of what you put together, OK?

Ooooh - that would be really cute hanging in a corner where it could turn as air moved past it. I was just at Ikea last week....I wonder if they have it in the Canadian stores.......must find it!

That is really cute. Its not available online and we don't have an Ikea store nearby. Darn, great price too.

Wow! I'm in original IKEA-land and had no idea...
I had a quick look at the swedish website and saw that they're in stock at "my" local IKEA!
DH and I are going this weekend to have a look at a new bed, so I'm grabbing a bunch of these to make gifts!
They're fabulous!

That is so cute! I'm limited in floor/wallspace so hanging frames would be perfect! they're 6x6 it says so that's a good size. Too bad they're not available online. Couldn't be tooo hard to make tho you think?

Those are too cute. We don't currently have an IKEA in my area but they're building one and I think it opens next spring. Hopefully, these frames will still be around then. Too bad you can't purchase them online. Thanks for sharing!

If anyone wants some of these hanging frames, maybe those of us who live near an IKEA can pick up a few for you and mail them. :) I wouldn't be against doing that for any of you who want some. Let me know, and I'll make a trip to IKEA. Those are really cute - I'm going to have to go and check them out anyway. They'd make fabulous christmas presents. My MIL loves pictures..... I'm definitely going to look into these.

Those are nice. I wish you could get them online though, because my closest Ikea is about 2 hours away.

The store closest to me is in Atlanta. I'd have to come up with more then just picture frames to drive 2 1/2 hours to shop.

For you crafty types - you can make something similar yourself from clear shrinky dink sheets. See my examples here. The bonus part of doing this yourself is they can be 8x8 and you can 'borrow' layouts from your albums and put them back when you want new ones!! :)

Ohhh, those are too neat! I can just see that calendar that the children can't take off with because they like a certain months image. Ha ha! I'll get my little calendar bandits yet, :). TFS! I'll have to go hunt these down this weekend for sure. :D

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!
