Daniel is doing well. His prednisone dosage was raised which initially had me concerned, yet he seems to of adjusted to it easily. He still has the same loving attitude as he has always had, so the side effects of the prednisone don't seem to be affecting him at this time, thankfully. He uses his wheelchair full time and his "driving" skills are awesome! Now me on the other hand, attempting to steer the wheelchair to plug it in each night, well, that's another story. Ha! Ha! I'm learning how to not run over my toes as Daniel says.
I didn't think I would ever get through our dissolution, however, I've gained a wonderful friend and always he will be in my heart. For the relationship we have now, I couldn't ask for a better ex husband. I know that may sound silly to say, however, I say that openly and honestly. I can't help but chuckle at the way some people handle seeing us together, whether it be at the childrens schools or doctor appointments. We both couldn't help laughing at the way someone asked us how we do it, how we can get along so well together and be divorced. The answer is quite simple. We do it for our children. They are what matters the most!
While I am in no hurry for a relationship, I have to say I am really happy inside and out. I have some blogging to do, that is for sure! A wonderful surprise seems to of been waiting for me, where it may or may not lead, doesn't really matter. I just know I plan to take each moment as they come... and cherish each and every one.
While our family has been through a lot, we got through it together. The many changes that took place, no matter how difficult they were, have truly helped to bring us closer. For the bond we once shared was strong, for the bond we now share, it is even stronger!!!
