Not sure where to start, but all is well here. We are now used to our new routine of everyday life, of which is really a wonderful thing. The kids are doing good in school although it just began on the 3rd of Sept. and are all doing their homework each day. At first I was stressed over how I would help 4 children with their homework each day plus help Cola as I have the others before they began school, but it seems that I was stressed over nothing at all. They are all doing a great job at making sure it gets done right after school. We all work together to get it done and my oldest daughter is awesome at helping out. She doesn't have to be asked for her help, she offers it willingly which is a nice treat for her younger siblings who really look up to her. Getting up at 4 in the morning to start each day seems to have given me more energy and by the time the children leave for school, I'm able to sit and help Cola learn in a relaxing way that isn't too much for either of us to handle. Her dad & I decided against enrolling her in school until next year. We didn't feel she was ready for yet another change at this time and she seems to really be loving the idea of having school at home. It's cute to watch her run to her desk in the mornings and hear her say "Teacher, I'm ready to learn." I've been working with her at home and she is loving the one on one time we get to share. I am keeping my chin up and after much planning with the children involved, our new routine is working out wonderfully.

Daniel is doing well. His prednisone dosage was raised which initially had me concerned, yet he seems to of adjusted to it easily. He still has the same loving attitude as he has always had, so the side effects of the prednisone don't seem to be affecting him at this time, thankfully. He uses his wheelchair full time and his "driving" skills are awesome! Now me on the other hand, attempting to steer the wheelchair to plug it in each night, well, that's another story. Ha! Ha! I'm learning how to not run over my toes as Daniel says.

I didn't think I would ever get through our dissolution, however, I've gained a wonderful friend and always he will be in my heart. For the relationship we have now, I couldn't ask for a better ex husband. I know that may sound silly to say, however, I say that openly and honestly. I can't help but chuckle at the way some people handle seeing us together, whether it be at the childrens schools or doctor appointments. We both couldn't help laughing at the way someone asked us how we do it, how we can get along so well together and be divorced. The answer is quite simple. We do it for our children. They are what matters the most!

While I am in no hurry for a relationship, I have to say I am really happy inside and out. I have some blogging to do, that is for sure! A wonderful surprise seems to of been waiting for me, where it may or may not lead, doesn't really matter. I just know I plan to take each moment as they come... and cherish each and every one.

While our family has been through a lot, we got through it together. The many changes that took place, no matter how difficult they were, have truly helped to bring us closer. For the bond we once shared was strong, for the bond we now share, it is even stronger!!! :)

To have a friend is to have a shoulder to cry on, a hand to hold and an extra pair of legs when yours are too weak to stand alone...

I have been living buried in books and writing classes... as an added note I must say that it is rather scary when you start dreaming and all you can see within your dreams is words floating everywhere!
