Out of curiosity where does everyone get their LOs printed in the UK??? I was stuck with where to get mine done and got three printed out at jessops the other day ( http://www.jessopsphotoexpress.co.uk ) but I got them done instore and within an hour which cost me £16 for just three LOs that I got printed 10x8 with a white border so I could trim them down to size and 2 7x5 normal photographs.

Where are the cheapest places to get your layouts printed out? Are they good quality? Do they cut off any of the LOs? As I noticed mine were a bit cut off on the top and bottom. Are they speedy?

Does anywhere do 12x12? As I am going to have to buy a new album... ooo and that's another question... Does anywhere in the UK print off whole albums at reasonable prices?

I'd love a 12x12 printer but blah, that's just another dream for now - until I win the Euro Millions Lottery anyway ;)

Thanks!

I'm not sure about the UK, but "bound2remember" does entire books for you. They actually print out all of your pages and make a professionally bound book out of them with a hard cover and everything. It's really nice.

Hi Lisa,

I've had some of mine printed at SnapFish - http://www.snapfish.co.uk but it is very fiddly getting all the measurements correct. I've not had any 12x12 printed but I've had a calendar printed and various other poster sizes done as gifts. They are an excellent service and very fast. But like I said, you've just got to mess around getting the sizing correct. There's a lot of help online at their site though.

I know some that use Snappy Snaps - http://www.snappysnaps.co.uk but I haven't personally used them but it might be worth seeing if there's one near you and talk to them.

To be honest, I do a lot of printing myself now. I bought an A3 printer last year and it's been fantastic and worth the investment as I do so much printing.

Hope that helps :)

Thanks Diane! I will check both the sites out, I really really want an A3 printer but like i said unfortunately it's just a dream at the moment, somewhere in the future I will get one but it won't be any time this year (I might ask formoney at Christmas to put towards one though) as I've not got any spare money, cash that isn't going on rent and bills is going on a car for my man as we're more desperate for a car. I'd rather spend it on an A3 printer though!

Thanks Deanna, but I really need somewhere in the UK preferably as it cuts down on postage! I had to get into Scrapping when we've got a tight year coming up lol... Murphy's Law though I guess ;)

let me see...£16 is about $32 us dollars...that's pretty expensive for only 3 pages. You could buy a simple printer for about the cost of 9 pages at that rate. I'm not sure how many of your LO you actually plan on printing out.

I bet you could get a used one in good shape even cheaper!

just a thought...

The only reason they were so expensive was because I got them on the one hour option - next time I will be ordering them over a website where they are much cheaper :) I've found that hardware tends to cost about the same amount of dollars but in pounds ie. $499 US price and £499 UK price.

I think that's because you don't have to pay VAT or Tax or something and most of the companies are based in the US. I nearly fainted when I saw the price of pushchairs in the US compared to the UK - there is a major difference, yet again about half the price difference lol. I am on the lookout for something printer wise that's second hand though, at least until I can afford a 12x12!

Don't think I will be printing many LOs out yet, as I wanted to get those three done mainly to see how they would turn out, what the colour difference was to what I see on my screen, etc... Will probably wait now until I have a load together and then get a discount on bulk printing :)

Thanks for your advice, everyone here is great, after stopping at a few different boards I think I've found where I'm most comfortable :) :2468who-do-we-appreciate:

I just got my order from ShinyNickels.com today and I love it! The color registration is perfect and the edges were not cut off - what I submitted is exactly what they printed. I love that they send two free 6x6s with each 12x12 - I plan to make booklets for my kids or the grandparents with them.

There is a white border across the bottom but the other three sides bleed to the edge. Beautiful!

Each 12x12 or 12x18 is just $1.99, with $5.99 flat rate shipping on orders of 10 or more pages. They say 3-5 days for delivery, but mine came overnight - they shipped it on Saturday and it got here Monday afternoon!

Years ago they had a different printer, but now they are back with a wet ink press and the quality is stunning!

I just got a bound book in today I ordered Monday. I used Paper Kiwi & the book was 52 pages. They charged $68 (including shipping) & did a stunning job. High quality, full bleed, 12x12, & a custom cover as well (they let you download a template & you do it like you would a LO). Regular book up to 20 pages with a custom cover is $47.99 & additional pages are only $0.50. I have also printed individual layouts with their sister company, Scrapping Simply. They charge 1.99 per 12x12 page & they are printed full bleed on thick photo paper. Shipping is a flat rate $5. I have never had a problem with them & they have a 100% guarantee.
