I realized that there was a 2008 baby due date thread, but haven't seen a 2009 one yet. I am due on January 16th, 2009 and expecting baby girl #2 (we're all very excited)! I wondered how many of you are also expecting in 2009?

How goes the naming ideas? I'm finding it harder finding middle names this time around. Our DD is Ainsley Cheryl Elizabeth (middle names after our mothers)...this little one is proving a bit more difficult!

Here's to happy and healthy pregnancies for us all!

: )

I think there are a few of us out there! I posted in the Due in 2008 thread since there wasn't a 2009 one yet. I'm due March 15th! We should be finding out the gender sometime around Halloween.

Congrats Christina!

Count me in the baby bump wave of '09! :) We're expecting our second boy on January 25th, a week before my first's 3rd birthday. We're still having a tough time with names. You see, we have about 3 or 4 girls' names that we love, but boys are much more tricky for us. I suspect we won't know for sure until he makes his arrival.

Congrats, ladies. I'm very happy NOT to be officially posting in this thread! Got my five. They run me ragged now that they are growing up. I wouldn't miss a moment because it'll all be over too soon. Then I'll sleep.

It gives me GREAT JOY to announce there is NO PROSPECT of me ever having another "baby bump"!

[The other bumps continue to amass... wish I some convenient baby to blame them on!]

Congrats to all the new veterans of the baby wars!

We are due to have baby #3 on March 31st. Knowing me, I will be having an April baby. We won't find out the sex until just before thanksgiving, but I am guessing boy. We already have one of each and my pregnancy so far is very similar to the first, which was my boy. I agree with Laurell, boys names are hard to come up with. I have lots of girls names I like. But I am kinda of thinking of Zachary, it is the only boys name I think I like. But we are also trying to look into some Dutch names since the baby most likely will be born over there. Does anybody know any Dutch names? The ones I have heard, I haven't liked so far. Maybe a dutch middle name will be better.

Good luck and congrats to all you other expected mothers. This is a fun thread. Thanks for creating it.

Congrats to all of you! I'm quite happy to be in the ranks of those NOT expecting next year (or ever, 4's just right for us)!
Hope everyone's pregnancies are going smoothly & wonderfully!

Add me to the 2009 baby bump list! (Although I fully would have expected to be in the "Ain't gonna have another baby bump" group! LOL!) I'm due with number 3 somewhere around May I think. I'm not really sure - I wasn't keeping track! LOL!

At some point I'm going to come asking for name help. Our kids have the initials "KC". We've got one boy and one girl already. We can't think of a single boy name yet (our son is named Kaden Charles.) Girl names are coming a little bit easier. Kelsey Christine is the front runner at the moment. It may change though. Who knows? (Our daughter is Kalyssa Catherine.) My dd is absolutely convinced that we are either having a girl or boy/girl twins. LOL! She's not going to let us get away with having just another little brother! It's too funny! (Btw ... I REALLY hope she's wrong about the twin thing! I wasn't ready for a 3rd, much less and 3rd AND a 4th!)

I can't wait to see pictures of all our 2009 babies! And I'm really looking forward to seeing some of these baby bumps at the convention in a few days! Yay!

Due with number 2 late Dec./Early Jan. Probably early Jan., just so my DH can nag me the last few weeks about getting that 2008 tax deduction!

DD #1's name came sooooo easily! #2 was a LOT harder, but we've found names we love!

How exciting! Congrats to all of you! The baby naming is a tough one, and it's funny how some names seem to come easier than others...when I was pregnant with my DD, her name was easy, but thinking of a boy name was harder (we didn't find out if she was a boy or girl til she was born!) This time we decided to find out, although had easily found a boys name this time 'round...but that's not going to work for our little girl, lol!

We've decided on her first name, Maren, but are still trying to figure out middle name(s)...that's harder this time around, since the names we want to use don't necessarily 'flow' with her first name (ie. my grandmother's name is Marion...so close to Maren).

Congrats again everyone!
: )

I completely agree that boys names are SO much harder. We still have our girl name still from last time around, Serena Marie, but we are having a heck of a time agreeing on boy names. I think we've agreed on Brody, but have no idea what to do for a middle name yet. We will hopefully find out the gender on Oct. 29th and then the real name bargaining can begin!

Congrats to all of you who are expecting! I can't wait to see all the pictures. I'm in the "most likely not going to have anymore baby bumps" category. Four is a good number. But I was the opposite of most of you in regard to names. We had no trouble with our two oldest boys and their names, but the two younger ones were girls, and we had the worst time coming up with names that we BOTH liked.

Guess I'm the earliest so far by a day - January 15! :) My hubby and I married on February 29 of this year, and this is our first. We're going for the surprise - so little in life is truly a surprise nowadays. Had the big ultrasound already, but even if we'd wanted to know, baby was being shy! He or she was tucked up in a breech position. We're soooo excited, it'll be the first grandchild for both our parents, and the first great-grandchild for one of my grandparents. I can't honestly say I'm thoroughly enjoying the physical aspect of being pregnant, too many aches and pains, but otherwise I love it. I love my belly, and we're taking lots of pictures and I'm doing lots of scrapbook pages!!
So what are you other ladies doing for holidays? We usually travel for christmas, but that's obviously out this year. Interested to hear how pregnancy is affecting your holiday plans!
Good luck all!!

I'll add my name to the list - I think! We foster to adopt and just found out that the baby I thought was due after the first of the year MAY be coming before the end of 2008. So I honestly don't know WHEN this baby is coming! Sadly, birthmom never has any prenatal care, so it's all just a guess at this point. The little guy I currently have who turns one this week - well, this is his cousin (his aunt's eighth baby). I asked the caseworker what happens if L's birthmom had another baby and she said they would come to us first to take it since this one would be a sibling to L. I asked her if she was trying to kill me :>) That would give us four kids under four - and both DH and I work full-time. I'm totally crazy - I know. I have said no to some placements when they didn't fit what was best for the family, but where these kids are all related, I just keep saying yes.

I'll keep you posted!

Amy,

Did you come up with a middle name to go with Brody? I like Brody James...myself!

How old are they? You could make a pink and blue marble cake and with a stork as decorations. Or you could put some buns in the oven and make the announcement that way... :) And congrats!
