sarabethp
When my first son was a baby, back in 2002 we had a poor quality camera, but at least we got some pictures. Unfortunately something weird happened to the resolution of my photos. I would like to fix the problem as it is stored in the picture data of my file. I have included a picture of what I think is the problem and also how it distorts my photo. I have tried dragging the photo into a scrap book page, but it just comes out distorted. Please, please help me save my . I have PSE 5 Problem screen shot and picture

PBarnes
I'm not totally sure why it is distorted but my suggestion would be to go ahead and bring it into your scrapbook layout and then manual adjust the dimensions to try to get rid of the distortion. This is not going to help the overall resolution of it however. There are plug-ins that you can buy that will bump up resolution but they are pretty pricey. It looks like it is maybe stretched sideways so I would grab a handle on one side and move it in towards the other and see if you can get something that looks more normal. Sometimes when I'm confronted with a poor resolution photo, I'll enlarge it some on the layout and then maybe do something artistic with it to help hide the poor resolution. There are lots of fun things you can do with the filters in PSE 5. I hope this has been of some help.
Becca
I wonder if you could skew the larger PPI side to make the image look more "even", and then crop it?
sarabethp
Thanks guys. I figured I could adjust it manually. I have a lot of old pictures that this happened to. I am getting good at dealing with the poor resolution photos, It is just the distortion issue that I would love to figure out how to fix. Thanks a bunch
