Ok, I was trying to use one of the Card templates yesterday, which is basically like cutting an edge on digital paper, if I remember correctly. It's been a number of months since I used a curve or edge template, and I lost the text file with instructions that I used to have when my computer crashed in December. The instructions that came with the template (for a PS version) don't work (or at least, didn't for me) in DIP 2006 Suite. Can someone quickly outline the steps for me, or point me in the direction of a tutorial that does work for DIP, please? I finally just gave up yesterday after I ran out of ideas (and even went back to 2 other sites where I knew I'd bought other edge templates, looking for a clue).

I know this is going to be a d'oh when I see it. Thanks!

I think with the card templates what you are trying to do in DIP is fill the black shape with a paper right? If they are just black shapes, select the shape and then go to

effects> fill with color or texture> fill with photo> select your paper at this point you can move the paper around to "fit it" where you want it.

If the cards have shades of gray. Take your magic wand and set to like 30% to select one of the colors. Then follow the instructions above. See if that will work for ya'.

:)

Thanks - yes -- someone posted the same question at SBB a couple of weeks ago and I found that answer. Seems like I remember doing something else the last time I did it, but that certainly works.

Not sure I understand the grey part, though....

Why don't you look at the DIP Textures tutorial I have out in the University. Part of that tutorial shows how to use the magic wand to mange colors.
