Guest moomories Posted March 5, 2006 Share Posted March 5, 2006 i apologize i realize this is a repeat but i looked at looked and cant find the post on this subject i have been saving as jpeg but recently learned from a dit. scrap booking book that tiff is really the best quality for printing i print my LO on matte/glossy photo paper, any suggestions as to what format i shoudl save as.. imnot worried about space or large files, i would like to have the best quality print. THANKS [right][post="34839"]<{POST_SNAPBACK}>[/post][/right][/quote] TIFFs keep the photo high quality and most people (including myself) save their originals as TIFFs straight after they have either scanned or imported them. I've only ordered prints and not printed them out myself so those have to have a JPEG copy, because each time you save a JPEG it lowers the quality, that way you have the original to go back to. When I do a LO I save it as a .PSD to start so that it preserves the layers and I can go back to the LO and change it easily if I want to. Then again I make a JPEG copy to get printed.
