My DIL had her 3D ultrasound and here's the picture of my granddaughter due the end of January. I think these 3D US pics are a little alien looking. But this little girl has a very strong resemblence to her daddy and her two uncles. I have baby pics of the boys that look almost identical and its a good thing I labeled them or I couldn't tell them apart. She will fit into that category I think. It seems strange to me to know the sex of the baby and now to get a really good look at her face long before she's born.

Yes! But aren't they SOOO neat?? We got a 3D with my first son - that's the machine my OBGYN had (imagine THAT luck!) and just LOVED being able to see his features and everything else in greater detail.

Congrats on your grandbaby!!

I was kind of glad I could only get a 2D u/s. We're already ruining the surprise of getting to know the gender, but I like not knowing *exactly* what they look like, you know? It's amazing the technology that exists though, isn't it?

I think it's cool! My daughter was stuffing her face in the placenta so we didn't get a good look at her, but my son ... oh my ... we could tell right away that he looked like his sister! That's not the case anymore but it was when he was a baby. I love them. I actually have a 3D of Kalyssa at 12 weeks. Since I miscarried the baby before her I was thrilled to be able to see that little picture. :D

Congrats Sandi ... your little granddaughter is clearly a beauty already! :D

Wow, have things changed since I was pregnant (my kids are teenagers). The 3D ultrasound is neat! How wonderful it is that you've scrapped her first baby picture even before she's born!
Congrats!

I just think they are too cool. I saw my first one a little over a year ago when my friend had one done...almost makes me want another one--ALMOST! It's freakin' amazing!

P.S. I, too, love your new avatar. It captures your sweet personality so well, Sandi!

They are interesting. My youngest is 26 and they weren't even doing regular ultrasounds routinely when my kids were born. Amazing technology.

They didn't do 3-D one's when I had my daughter - she's 19 this month. I think they are really neat!
